Pakistan hasn't reached to that level to counter India conventionally by sole & wouldn't be happening in future too. Rather the gap will be wider.
Getting support & being pet both are difference things.
You won't sustain if China does any strategic shift in future.

The Indian bluster and brag can be easily deflated with these facts.

1. In 1947 Maharajah gave all of Kashmir to India but Pakistan brazenly snatched 1/3 of it.
2. In 2016 Pakistan a country as you rightly state despite being nearly 7 times smaller still holds 1/3 of Kashmir.

These are facts and are a slap in the face of those Indian's who brag of their military prowess. Indeed India, far from taking the 1/3 of Kashmir off Pakistan, it is Pakistan that harbours ambition of taking the other 2/3 off India. This is a fact that seems to be ignored in Pak/India discussions.

Indian's can spin excuses but so can Pakistan - the facts stand as they are. The only time India managed to defeat squarely Pak was when it got help from Bangla Mukhti's in far away Banglaland. As you know even in sport there is something called 'home' advantage. The team that plays at home enjoys support from it's fans which puckers up the team. In this instance Mukhti and India had 'home' advantage against a small PA garrison force.

It is for this reason I often allude (mockingly) that Pakistan is safe as long as India does not team up with Banglas. In which case it better watch out - we would not want a repeat of 1971 !

*Same comparison here would be if tiny Belguim (same 1:7 ratio) snatched 1/3 of Saarland from Germany and still despite facing overwheling German numerical/resource advantage still retained it 6 decades later and indeed harboured ambition to grab rest of it off Germany. This scenario cannot be even contemplated.
