Reason Why Army men beaten motor way police officers?

No matter how one looks at it, it would be tough to justify speeding and evasion under both civil and military law.

Not only that, tough to justify the disarming of a policeman ... no ways justified nor should be condoned.

. . .
Army officers are allowed to keep pistol with them as per law of the land. They introduced themselves as army officer to the police inspector on duty and in return he pointed gun . On the contrary, he was suppose to ask them "to prove your identity and move on". Pointing gun to someone who is not posing threat is unjustified and criminal act on the part of police inspector. The immediate and trained response of the trained soldier was to snatch the guns of the opponent before he get opportunity to use it. God job boys. Teach them good lesson of discipline.

.
Yikes. Yup, that is true. And I shudder at that, if it is taken seriously indeed.

It probably won't be taken seriously at all, muk mukka zindabad. But let's wait and see the end result of the formal investigation first.

.
And you thought that was a joke?
Joke. I am disgusted by the conduct of that thing calling 'officer" - I mean the army guy. His was conduct unbecoming of a officer. He should be stripped of his rank and thrown out of the army. This scumbag made a mockery of justice, law and civilized behaviour.

So by what right and discipline were the good officers speeding in violation of law, to begin with?

Wrong.

Any one over speeding, then being evasive and holding gun gives enough threat perception to police man to point a gun and then interrogate or ask to compliant.

I like these SSG guys. They are trained for special operations and they feel pride as a part of elite arm. They are trained for dangerous stuff and dont expect them to be submissive. Police inspector pointed gun without any justified reason. Yes they broke rule if they were over speeding. Just charge them for over speeding and case closed.

As I suspected.
The educated army guy with contacts gets preference over an ordinary traffic police officer.
I have seen that happen in India too.

I don't have to.
I understand you I think.

Speeding, evasion from police, display of weapons ... the list is quite long Sir. Definitely conduct unbecoming of officers. And those who participated in the ruckus afterwards deserve their due punishment too. As I said before, it is a fine line between officers and thugs.

Trained for dangerous stuff? Sure. But where is the elementary discipline and rudimentary decency to follow the law in a public space? How can they claim to be elite soldiers when they do not even meet the bare minimum standards for a civilized member of society?

(And by the way, as SSGs, they are traitors to their blood oath too, but let's leave that for now.)

I have consulted a retired Naval Captain of the HM’s Navy known to me.

Police officer can arrest anyone including the Prime Minister if found breaking the law in the area under his jurisdiction. I was given to understand that there are no legal restrictions on civilian police arresting uniformed/ serving military personnel unless it was a restricted area where police cannot enter without authorization. Only person beyond the law is the Queen / King who is supposed to be the fountain head of the law of the land.

However once arrested, the military personnel is obliged to inform the Commanding Officer and he /she can demand full access to do so. Normal procedure would be for the service personnel to be handed over to the Military/Naval police and tried by the military. I would expect that generally similar rules apply in Pakistan as well.

Since there is no respect for the law in Pakistan society and army officers/ personnel being members of the same society, also have similar attitude towards the law of the land. In my humble opinion, even if Motorway Police were totally in the wrong, Pak Army Captain should have voluntarily surrendered and taken the case up through the official military channels. Beating up of police officers in the course of their duty should not be condoned under any circumstances.

TBH with you guys. Its more of societal problem than an individual. The problem with Pakistanis in Pakistan is that, with absence of real order system which has severe repercussions if the law is broken, the socity in the past 30 years has become quite violent and uncivilized.

You dont have to go too far to find out that, just take a stroll in evening during rush hour and you wil get an idea. Anyone with bit pf power of influence as compared to his opponent will be seen abusing, hurling and even hitting the weaker one.

And what is most alarming situation is that the people who are doing this are exclusively from privileged class.

Now one can imagine, if an influential class is doing as such, what will they leave for an exmaple for the rest of the social class to follow.

Over here both are at odd the Army guys as well as the police officer, both of them were trying to exert their power, but at the end one has to succumb to the powerful one

.
This is not a matter of anyone exerting their power over the other. Not at all.

The police officer was enforcing the law. The army officer was acting illegally. Those who came to the army officer's aid were acting to aid and abet a criminal. The charges as laid out in the police charge sheet are serious indeed.

Let us wait and see what actual justice is provided as promised by ISPR.

its not uncommon to have such tussle but the army dude is really brazen in openly telling this to all..
