I am saying what some historians say. And epic Ramayana and Mahabharata could be our lost history also mixed with fictional story telling to create an epic, all the places and their locations are real also. Btw, Gita is a part of Mahabharata, when did British made it!!

So Ram setu must be true also. It can be a lost history. But not religious for that people will do violence.
Gita is a part of Mahabharata but British composed it as a separate book.

Reasonable to assume Rama was a historical figure and that some events of his life find place in the Ramayana. Also reasonable to expect plenty of embellishment over the years.
