As an ex- RSS member, and an anti- rss/ bajrang dal person now, let me offer some perspective in this regard.

first of all, these shakhas, in my experience teach nationalism and self defence/ physical fitness. I didn't hear a single mention of the word Muslim in my three years there.

my problem with them is that they are backwards and conservative in their politics. They have supported and in some instances done moral policing, which is something I abhor.

their hard religious stance in current times is stupid, but I think it will help followers of both religions to understand how useless violence is. Sadly, they are the counterweight to aggresiveness from the other side.

You hit the nail on the head.
Look at the credentials of VHP and RSS leadership. They are highly educated, lawyers, surgeons etc..
But on the ground, sophistication has little impact. They know it. And they also know that the best way to deal with the tactics of the Abrahamic gang is what they are doing now.

Let me be frank. 90% middle class does not give a crap about defending Hinduism. Where as the middle class of other side extremely aggressive in their propagation and defence of their religions.

I think we raised a valid point...Me also feel the same and i raised the same issue at various level at my capacity to RSS people too...RSS and its people have different vision than that of nut elements like Bajrang Dal and VHP.....RSS should start dissociating from Bajrang Dal like people who are mostly criminal in nature...
