They were but quantity sometimes overcomes quality if it has an advantage of 100:1. The Germans were technologically superior but severely outnumbered, any other country in their place too would have faced defeat.

Allied bombing crippled German factories and affected war time production. But yes, without Soviet mass numbers an invasion of Germany would not have been possible. Normandy landings were a success because the Germans were too busy fighting the Russians on the Eastern front. German army in full strength on western border would have made D-Day landings the biggest military disaster in history.
