Rape country: No woman is safe in India

Most Indians don't trust police, and fears harassment by the police themselves and it also carries loss of face before the society, since in India, the women gets blamed for everything ,and in case of single woman, they would almost never report in fear of never being able to get married in her future .In India, where marriage is a family business, hardly any family would agree to let their son marry someone involved in an incidence of rape.
Regardless Western police service is far more competent and effective than Indian,it's not even a debate.

LOL. There are FAR more westerners who don't trust the police than Indians

In India women can get away with most crimes unlike the west. Indian males rarely want to press charges against a women criminal. It happens only if the crime is particularly heinous. In the west women get slapped with charges even for minor offences.

Marriage was a family business in 1970, not in 2020

Today most girls are educated and empowered and smart phones and social media accounts and at least a 100 fans and followers.

Even in the villages of India.

Looks like your idea of India comes from 1970's movies and bollywood.

Western police might be more efficient, but Indian police is FAR more human when the going gets tough. Indian rape laws a FAR superior in protecting women than western laws.

Protests have erupted in India over a graphic video showing a young Muslim man gunning down a 21-year-old Hindu woman in broad daylight outside her college campus.
The incident took place in the city of Faridabad in the northern state of Haryana on Monday afternoon, police said. The victim, who has been identified as Nikita Tomar, was shot dead as she appeared to resist an attempted abduction.
Video of the incident was taken from CCTV footage of the street outside Aggarwal College in the Ballabgarh neighbourhood, and was widely shared on social media in India on Tuesday.

In the footage, a man can be seen approaching a group of three women next to a white car, before grabbing one of them and shooting her at point blank range as a second man runs towards him. Both men then get into the vehicle and flee the scene.

Haryana’s home minister Anil Vij, from the ruling Hindu nationalist BJP party, repeated the family’s “love jihad” claim and said he had promised a “quick investigation and time-bound trial to ensure justice to the family”. “No one will be spared,” he tweeted.
But Mr Vij has also come in for criticism for insensitivity when, after being asked about the safety of women in his state, he said the government “can’t ensure personal security for all 25 million (of its inhabitants)". He added: “I won’t say such incidents (crime against women) have stopped, but they have reduced for sure in the last few years.”

Four men were arrested on charges of molesting a local singer at Nischintapur village near the Bangladesh border in West district of Tripura, police said on Thursday.

According to the 26-year-old woman’s complaint, she had gone to the village barely 5 km from Agartala, on Tuesday for Durga puja where she met a man she was acquainted with. While she was returning with him on his motorcycle, he allegedly molested her. After she started crying, some local people came there but harassed her and shot the incident on their mobile phones.

A video of the incident later viral on social media where a man is seen twisting her arm from behind and touching her inappropriately while other people are seen abusing her, taking photographs and shooting videos of her along with the man with whom she was returning.
A local person later escorted her home.
The singer lodged a complaint against Sanjib Barman, the man with whom she was returning on the motorcycle on Wednesday. On the basis of her complaint, police arrested him later in the evening from his home in Agartala. Around midnight three others who had abused were also arrested.
“Identification process of the people in the video clip is on. We will arrest them as soon as they are identified,” said Amtali sub divisional police officer Anirban Das.
Police did not say if the other three men arrested were seen in the video.
The assault on the singer has sparked outrage in the state. Many social and cultural organisations condemned the incident and demanded arrest and strict action against the persons who abused her.
