Indeed Sir ! I'm a chain 'food lover' myself and a chain 'water-lover' at that but when I fast none of that matters...except the water bit !

God knows who has stayed true to their fast. You can lie to your parents go eat or drink something in the kitchen when no one is looking but God is always watching. We got people over here trying to tell people when to eat like Safrizz. So what if they are not fasting God will take it up with them on the day of judgement. The real question is what were fasting Muslims doing looking into cafes in the first place?

Agreeing or disagreeing with a law is a different issue, but majority of Pakistanis know eating in front of fasters is bad.

Woah, plenty times, I remember eating and drinking in front of fasting Muslims and just recently realized the folly in what I did, I have started making a point of not eating or smoking when I am among Muslims now during Ramazan. But one thing I remember they never minded my doing it and when without knowing I offered them they politely refused pointing to the fact that they were fasting.

Tell that to my friend who can take the 'no water and no food' bit but as a chain-smoker himself whenever he sees someone smoking in public *and people do..just not on the main road after having stopped the traffic for a 'rebellious spectacle'* God help that 'someone' because the anger in my friend's eyes would turn an air-craft carrier to a heap of smoldering metal.

I used to be a chain smoker, in fact on some days I had smoked upwards of 3/4 packs but when it came to my fast I stopped smoking during the day and lit up after iftari. When you are fasting you know it is for your own spiritual well being, I am nor concerned about anyone else eating drinking smoking fornicating. I'll do all that afterwards.

How is eating inside a restaurant amount to eating infront of faster. Why would a faster go inside a restaurant in first place?

For all those that knock liberals, may I remind them that our Prophet was a liberal too. In his time he brought a message of tolerance, peace and charity, all liberal values. He said God is merciful and loving. He wanted knowledge and education for his followers, he asked for respect for other people values. He forgave trespassers. He was humane.
