Anondo Bazar Patrika regularly ran those stories on Gujrat riots, fascism, failure of Gujrat govt. under Modi, etc. before election, after that they toned down a bit. But for last one month they have gone full steam behind Congress and trying to project Sonia and Rahul Gandhi as strong heroic leaders who are winning against Modi and his govt.

Thanks for the update, Knowing Anondo Bazar Potrika was once upon a time mouth piece of Jyoti babu, this doesn't come to me as a surprise.

I have never been a staunch supporter of any party or leader, my support has and will always be bipartisan based on merit of the issue, that may be to any leader, even the much despised AK, for which I draw quite a bit of Flak and that is fine because he has some massive eff'ups too. But to me there couldn't have been a better P.M than Modi at this time period for India. Rest of his cabinet, I am not so sure about, especially the DM and FM. Maybe/just Maybe VK Singh and Arun Shourie could have filled those spots better.

I find current DM callous, reactive and not strategic about capital equipment acquisitions. VK Singh on the other hand has been distinguished Military commander, and has seen real combat, and imo more connected with the ground reality of operational requirements for the services both from procurement and administrative side.

Arun Shorie, on the other hand is veteran of the planning commission and has stellar credentials as the economist and a change agent within the party.

This is my personal opinion and others may very well disagree, or educate me on how my viewpoint is incorrect.

What other option did they have, btw If I recall correctly Times Now called it even before NDTV did... and reporting a fact that is inevitable doesn't change editorial integrity.
I remember Barkha Dutt, grinning shamelessly when Mani Shankar Aiyer refered to Modi as a person only capable of selling Tea and never will be able to become a PM... did a single channel which was shamelessly grinning at the elitism, hold Mani Shankar's feet to fire after the elections? Not a single one....

I apologize for the rant guys. But seeing an imbecile like Rahul Gandhi as the de-facto leader of opposition really hurts me. This is not at all representative of the India and intellect of the youth "that he supposedly represents", a Strong government needs a confident opposition, and watching this idiot just effin boils my blood.

Now the horrifying part, considering that Rahul Gandhi is in his 40's with some 30-35 years of political career ahead of him in his family owned party that is one of the only two national parties, and this BJP govt. won't last that long, he has fairly good chance to become the PM of India or be in a position where he can call all the shots.

And I don't want to talk about this Mani Shankar Iyer, he is the most obnoxious elitist scumbag around.

Yeah i remember that. Anyone who watched NDTV those days will remember the hit and run stories they did on Modi and the BJP. The problem with channels like NDTV and few others is when these talk show hosts instead of acting as hosts become participants in the discussions. I remember a lady from this channel interviewing someone from the UK. The way she was talking about the case going on Modi and then becoming argumentative was cringeworthy, even left that guest stumped.

Nidhi Razdan, her bias is too obvious, you speak two good words about Modi and she will pounce on you.

I am not so sure about @Guynextdoor2 . I have seen him being critical of Modi but I haven't seen him promoting Rahul Gandhi. No one is dumb enough to do that, not even his own mom.

I am not sure about his mother though, she is just too desperate for her child's political career and making all wrong decisions. I think it was the advice mixed with panic and despair of some old loyal Congressis that prevented her from officially declaring her son as the PM candidate, but every effort was made and still being made to project him as the next PM candidate. I don't think MMS advocated for RaGa openly just out of love.

The congress party i feel should give 5 yrs to give this govt to work and the cong must not repeat mistakes BJP made when it did not allow parliament to function for many sessions. Time for congress to introspect its priorities sensibly

Congress govt.'s popularity was already in doldrums when BJP blocked parliament, Congress is blocking the parliament when BJP just won a huge popular mandate and still very popular, this will backfire on them badly.
