Earlier they tried to project Advani as secular and Modi as the bad guy who disrespected elders and snatched away leadership.
Such stunts will fool no one in BJP or the Sangh.

These changes can only be compared when new appointee resumes office.

How many..........well, the ones who would think that if there actually was a need to remove him when he was at the peak of making momentous changes.

One would think a person such as that would be held with both hands to continue doing his good work for a long time to come, but I guess some stratagem in the name of "change" can always be imposed.

RR is undoubtedly very well qualified for the job and India was lucky to have him.

However, at the end of the day the Modi government will be held accountable to the Indian people for how the economy is run not the RBI gov. If the govt prefers to work with someone else they have every right to do so.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the foreign press. In 2014 the esteemed Economist magazine endorsed Rahul Gandhi for PM. Their interests are not the same as that of the common man.

Why Rajan should go? If anyone it should be Arun Jaitly who should be sacked because he's been of no good use as the Finance Minister for the past 2 years.

in a country of one billion plus people we surely have talent as good or better than rajan.. thats not the point.
once you appoint somebody to that position, you respect the institution.. if you dont want to extend his tenure, at least do it quietly... the whole campaign to vilify the guy has hurt the institution of RBI.. Mr Rajan will be alright and will have nice career after this, no doubt.

There is no questioning credibility perse. But the whole campaign to vilify him started much later than the campaign to justify him.
