The Rafale has so far not crashed due to technical faults.
All 4 incidents were 100% pilot error.

The French MINDEF announces that a Rafale F3 from FS Charles de Gaulle crashes due to a mechanical failure, in Pakistani territorial waters 100 km offshore, following a mission over Afghanistan.

“Dimanche 28 novembre 2010, en debut d’une mission d’appui aérien en Afghanistan, un pilote de Rafale qui opérait depuis le porte-avions Charles de Gaulle , s’est ejecté de son avion en mer, au large du Pakistan.”

The pilot was recovered by helicopter, and is receiving medical treatment. An inquiry is being conducted into the accident.

Not that it matters but at least one Rafale has crashed due to mechanical failure. I think both Eurofighter and Rafale are well made so this isn't a point in favor or against either.

Imagine having multiple strike-squadrons of rafales in 2009!!! indian airforce would have been feared across S.A/Middle-East...Now, india might get rafales in 2019..and honestly, who gives a fcuk?

If you are thinking of rafales as "work-house" medium tech light-combat fighter, then yes..it is better.

But dumbfuck, rafale is being procured as a part of multirole high-tech platform...and the price being paid is accordingly.

So your comparison is flawed.

Anyways, just like always...junk indian military have failed indians yet again..and now..like tejas and arjun(k)...rafale is yet another product that has lost its effectiveness due to delays.

I think Grippen and Rafale are the two best non-American fighters for the money that are on the market. Rafale would be a sound choice.
