Rafale Deal Nosedives in Negotiation Combat

Mig-21, Jaguar, and Tejas too.

Wait, Tejas are a failure and aren't even deployed yet so no, Tejas don't count

And don't worry, if you give us 10 billion dollars...we'll make you a very good 4.5th generation JF-17 Thunder .much superior to what we are making right now..and we'll make the controls of it easier too..so you your pilots could actually fly it effectively
Lol no need. Please keep your junk fighter - 17 to yourself.
Stupid junks in the thread of Rafale

We aren't talking about "Arjunk" tank here :rofl::rofl:

We are talking about JF-17 Thunder...an aircraft already deployed and flying with high colors.

JF-17 is a brilliant, cost-effective multirole aircraft that provides all around capability to the air force...

You can write crap on forums..hide your insecurity and failure..but you can't change facts...eh?

American fighter pilots/training instructors on this forum have given their professional analysis of JF-17 program...and in short..their verdict was "Collaboration of Pakistan and China have resulted in a very capable multirole fighter aircraft"...with Pakistan's vast experience on very agile F-16s getting synchronized with China's gigantic industrial capacity..

but indians like you can keep using gimmicks to feel happy..I'll take American pilot's comments over bhartis any day..:azn:

Jag is a DPSA & Mig 21 is third gen.IAF is going to induct tejas which have capabilities like IFR probe that JF 17 would only have in blk II.If we wanted a light fighter,we wouldn't need Rafale, and would do it with Tejas which is already in series production.

So keep the 'joint fighter' for yourself. As I said before,we needed something equivalent to Mirage 2000 as back as 2001,so we would need something far superior to it today.

Yes,and we all heard about the prospective customers.Unfortunately we aren't on a shoe-string budget like them.

Nothing, except that if Dassault has to watch over every single nut and bolt...then India is really not getting the idea of ToT......and not learning anything.

Let's take an example....a more plausible one.......HAL starts assembling the aircraft from knock down kits.....the final product is handed to IAF and flies....due to some mishap the plane crashes injuring the pilot....so naturally India opens up an inquiry... and finds out that there was some manufacturing issue......meanwhile the fleet is grounded and HAL told to stop work....Dassault is in a serious shyt since they were supplying parts they have already paid their suppliers for the parts....which are now sitting idle.....India seeks compensation and thus stops the transfer of funds........Dassault ends up with a shaft.............so........unless India says it will make full payment in advance....why would Dassault risk it's finances and repute for future? Since this MMRCA contract will run 6-8 years i suppose. That is a lot of time.....lot of time for things to go wrong. It happens all over the world.

Akber Al Baker of Qatar Airways refused the acceptance of their first A380 from Airbus because the genius found that there were issues with the carpet in the galley and some paint defects.........causing Airbus to panic .....and it's shares tumbling in the market....with a negative repute.

You are terribly underestimating the Indian capabilities and undermining the facts how these companies keep critical things out of you to cream you further.

Why can not Dassault establish a quality control supervision? We are not that fool not able to figure out who is failing on delivering - Dassault or HAL.

.
The deal is going to happen in-spite of all the propaganda. Its Too big and important for both nations to fail.Problems are bound to come up,thats why we "negotiate".

Aero india 2015 is going to be held in the 3rd week of feb.Have a feeling some sort of settlement will be reached by then

But on a serious note, it is a case wherein the Dassault loses out if it does not fall in line as the European economy (of France too) is not in much of a shape.

The fact that Dassault hasn't been able to sell Rafale to more customers makes the 126 machine deal with India, a must for not just Dassault but for French defence industry as a whole.
There is no doubt that Europe as a whole is going through a very rough period as far as economy is concerned and i don't think France would want this opportunity to slip away that has potential to create huge number of jobs.
This puts India is somewhat of an advantageous position but i guess some deadline must be put in place. Not necessarily for signing the deal, but taking a call if we really wish to go with Rafale or should another alternate (EFT in this case) be considered.

The European participants are eager to sell the Eurofighter to India. Question is how much and if they do TOT as India has demanded.

. .
20 Billion divided by 126 and what we got?

Very expensive steel bird. Considering that the PAKFA is in the midst.

20 billion = Entire GDP of Afghanistan!

yeah right, when you buy 130 BMW autos, you want to ensure the factory send all design papers, tech knowhow, all toolings, all machines together with personal trainging with complete quality and reliability besides the autos, yeah? BMW, along with Dassault, would be better file for bankcrupcy directly instead.

100% Yes...If one BMW is going to cost me 100 M$...And very much yes...Here we are going to buy around 200 BMW as per your definition.

Go for F-16... Get over with it.

This is not something Called HILISH MACHer Jhol.

Indeed, i guess EFT Tranche 3 with provision of CAPTOR AESA is offered to India and it is a mean machine.
but again, there is no credible info available as to how much EFT bid was dearer to Rafale's and to what extent ToT would be applicable. Plus there would be some time involved again in conducting fresh negotiations with EFT consortium.
@hellfire remarked in one earlier posts that India having waited so long, might just wait a bit more to test the waters, so probably govt. is thinking on similar lines.
Off Topic: Recently there have been some reports of India looking at EJ 2000 engine as one the options for AMCA. If true, India would have lot to gain from an EFT deal assuming that L-2 bidder is called into fray.

.
buy 100 of these , and become one of the most bad a$$ Air force of South Asia
