Racism among South Asians

I tried to watch that video, but the general stupidity spouted by most people, just really really bothered me. That young girl in yellow was very annoying, god help anyone who marries her by mistake. Then that older man making the same old tired joke about unhappy marriages. IDK if these people are all just miserable with their lives or they have some complex where they have to project that all the time. They have no idea of the societal damage being done by the attention seeking negativity. So many young people view marriage negatively initially.

Never underestimate the power of 3 am convos or parked car convos LMAOO. I’m jk but I totally get what you are saying

The trick is that you have to ask them to say “Wallahi” and put it in your nikkah contract.

Everything gets found out later so idk why one would lie.

The reason why they get defensive is because of the “double standard” and also because Islam has no actual requirement for virignity for marriage. The only time virignity is mentioned is widely talked about is the miracle of Isa (AS)’s birth.

I know what you are exactly talking about and the people who i talked to were all religious hijabis and then they got defensive about it. It’s a weird phenomenon, but those are the only things I can put my finger on.

But let’s be honest the antics of our fellow Pakistanis and Arab/Afghan men aren’t helping our cause LOL

Actually islam do have a requirement for being "chaste" . This term usually implies that unless one was previously married , she would be virgin to begin with.

The reason why muslim women get defensive is because they know that their marriage prospects will go down if they turn into a hoe. Nobody likes to wife up a hoe.

Thanks for "Kaala shah" and it is good that its sentiment goes that way but about those two songs I wanted to know which came first.

Who is Morli Dharan ?
You know, that dude in dhoti and a peacock feather head-dress, with chicks all around, holding a morali? sometimes instead of a morali, he holds a bansuri and is called Bansidhar.

Oh, OK, if you want to gross it out, Sri Lankan spinner with a duff action passed by ICC.

I asked because I thought @fitpOsitive was speaking about a Pakistani - "From Imran Khan to Morli Dharan". I thought he was talking about a range of colors in Pakistan - from light Imran to a dark person named that. :)

Actually many Japanese ladies have brown skin as well, as I am in Indonesia see many of them despite the white skin one is more on majority.

I think Chinese has more fetish on white thing, I mean they have ton of brown skin people in Southern China but their recent movie and singers are dominated by white skin one from North.

In the past, Hongkong movie shows many brown skin Chinese ladies as movie star

If you look on the new version of the same movie, it is dominated by white skin players. Same thing with other serials.
You label all darker skin tone as brown. Some Japanese ladies has copper color skin , not necessarily brown, there's a reason the British observers in 18th century referred the asian like Nagas as copperish skin tone(even though they use to hunt or work in sun all day ) ,rather than brown , if you put a copper color asian side by side actual brown people ,the copper-skinned would look drastically different and lighter.

Indonesians have some east asian gene but many in Indonesia also has higher admix of australoid which gives a shade of darker tone than seen in mongoloids in northern asia.

Skin tone differs by race as well as ethnicity.
East asian has a different skin tone, fat texture which give a unique hue. Other races don't possess a similar hue.

The lady you mentioned is Kitty Lai,she looks like this in a different lighting .No westerner will refer her as "brown".

Asians can be darker or paler depending on individual .Most East asians ,even most europeans don't have ultra pale skin tone like the mom and son in the pic taken by my friend at angang chaumba. If such pale is your standard than every one's brown or something.

Most himalayan-yangtze asian mongoloid has skin tone like this, but they look darker in room lighting.

Under sun lighting they can glow up.

The people you are calling brown aren't really brown, copper color may be (generally speaking) and quite often gives a golden hue.You don't get the reflective tendencies of this type of skin.

Just kidding.

You do know the difference between Murali and Bansuri, since you are officially (at least on PDF) a slave of the Yindoos?

So, is a murali blown at the top end and the bansuri blown at the side ?

Pretty girl. Tell your friend that he or she found a nice subject for the photo. :D

Aren't we talking about South Asia?

I see my mistake now. I re-read your post.

. . . .
The name Murali refers to something about metal ?
:partay:

This is a contemporary usage.

Originally, Bansi, Murali, Venu all meant the same thing: a flute made of bamboo. You could blow it from the side or the end.

Outside India, flutes are metal more often than wood, I am told.

So, is a murali blown at the top end and the bansuri blown at the side ?
They can each be of either type. In classical music, you will typically find the side-hole type.

Yea it depends on how religious the family is. If the dad of the family is usually secular then the children marry gorey or are secular like them.

In USA that doenst happen but women get more “pressure” to not do zina as their “marriage value goes down??” (Idk what this means I just heard it from somewhere)

Guys can get away with having 2-3 bodies but a woman will have more trouble settling down if she does. Unfair standards as it’s not in Islam as there’s equal punishment but it is what it is.

Nowadays there’s changing dynamic, lots of the religious to semi religious families are realizing that blue balling your sons till 30 for marriage makes them do more Haram so now it’s getting increasingly common to marry young. The guy is usually 23/25 and the girl is 18-20.

Young shaadi rates will increase

Yea bro compared to 10 years ago to now lots of stuff has changed

10 years ago a Pashtana marrying a non Pashtoon was unthinkable but now it’s getting common as parents end up having someone that is 30+ and isn’t finding anyone.

Young marriage rates are skyrocketing now

Society progresses in its weird ways.
Well i would say u pakistani muslims in US are doing better there here shadi is literally not on the cards untill like 30-33 not because of parents but because of guys, number one i think its because there are less pakistani's here considering male female ratio, i personally know two families here and both of them have no daughters, unlike america and britain where there are large pakistani communities girls and guys grow up and u know there is that sense of belonging, and i thinks thats the missing link here and second there are just alot of single irish girls here i don't know if i think that or that's actually the case and i think these are the reason guys here are not in to marriage cause its kinda easey getting irish girls compared to pakistani's, atleast its been easey for us few dudes here in dublin

Outside India, flutes are metal more often than wood, I am told.

The Chinese flute and the West Asian flute are also made of wood. From this page :

Ney

The ney is an end-blown flute that figures prominently in Persian, Turkish, and Arabic music. The ney has been played continuously for 4,500–5,000 years, making it one of the oldest musical instruments still in use. The ney consists of a piece of hollow cane/reed with five or six fingerholes and one thumb hole. Ney is an old Persian word for reed.
One play of the ney I know from my days of listening to BBC World Service radio is this Hebrew lullaby called "Durme durme" which has the ney being played at 02:18 mins by Eliyahu Sills, an Israeli musician whose website the page belongs to and who knows multiple instruments. It's a beautiful song and flute is so soothing.
