Queen's Rep of Indian orgin Resigns Over Pakistani Comments

you think very indian like with a morsel of victim complex!

Quick sympathies are not my forte!

I don't think Indian. I think very Pakistani but unlike you I don't feel the urge to defend what's wrong or lagging in my community just because a man of Indian descent has remarked about it. My gherat & response is different from you in this sense. I would take issue with that remark but do some thing constructive & improve. Where as according to you either there is no such issue in our community & we have great civic sense, or every one is naked in this bath & there is no need to do any thing except curse the guy who has remarked.

and have you told them? or have you done like Queen's rep gone with the bitching shit?

If I check into this will I get the same results or are you saying it for the sake of the argument coz I can look into this....and if I do I will make sure I TELL THEM and not bitch about it behind their back!!

Yes I have on both occasions. Once it was Sher bahadur khan, complaining about the toutish behaviour of a councillor from Oldham or Rochdale if I remember correctly, who had come over with a couple of business owners from Birmingham & a local councillor for an afghan national's visa to Pakistan.

The other occasion was a business opening ceremony in Birmingham for one of our friends, The commissioner ( previous one ) was the chief guest there & complained right fully for being ignored & the ceremony being delayed for an hour.

You live in Birmingham I suppose? Or are you just saying it for the sake of argument coz I can look into it and counter this!

I had my work based in Birmingham for over a 5 years. Lived in Birmingham for nearly 2 years. I am a regular to Birmingham with friends living over there.

 so the committee has soo much power they can make him resign? You are at 1st calling them brute then giving them power to "i dont know what word to put here" the Queen's representative!!!!

Make up your mind!

The committee or the other attendees being complained about would have labeled him any thing, no matter how polite he might have been just like you are doing it right now.

The man wasnt wise ...Were he wise he would have both said it and gotten away with it!

The man was pretty wise not to have said any thing in the presence of so many politicos & what nots who would have put a spin on his remarks just like you.

or he would have said it nicely TO THEM and still kept his job instead of bitching about it!

Nicely how ? Show me a single sentence where there is malice or he has said some thing which isn't true ?

You see when in power you cant make such follies!

The man has no power. Stop deluding yourself & others like you.

As for the rest they were MP...touching even one would have landed the organizers in jail and touching the Queen's rep would have done more damage to their committee ...

It wasn't a wedding for GOD sake, where the man remarking about the brides character gets a beat down. It was a diplomatic event & diplomacy is subtle & polite.

You see in your attempt to BS you forgot that the Queen's rep is not some ordinary person! But if he does a mistake he does a mistake!

You see I don't do BS. I object to BS when I see it happening & you are the one who is Bull shitting here by suggesting that my community has no issues what so ever & even if there are any, it's alright as every community has its own.

Bull s*** is when you emphasise on queens representative being not an ordinary person like a Kammi.
Emphasise on what he has to say & weather it's right or wrong & not on who he works for.

And a very big fail

I have repeatedly opposed to his approach of trying to "fix" your community!

Kindly do tell me how would your community learn when no one has the balls to tell them what is wrong but instead the guy goes and bitches behind one's back?

See the remarkable level of BS?!

Then I have opposed his biasedness that his community is squeaky clean or any otherimmigrant community on the planet!

My emphasis was his position is not something where one makes SWEEPING remarks based on 20 people!

My emphasis was on his approach that such a way doesnt suit a QUEENS rep!

My emphasis was on his inability to do the job (of "teaching" a community) without harming the sentiments and appearing to be a 2 faced bigot!

@Kharral if you or some others Pakistani feel the need to learn some civility, manners, courtesy and adab-e-majlis from this idiot then sure go ahead and attend his lectures because you feel he is right but please dont expect that every single Pakistani need them and that was the whole point of this debate.

I found it offensive that he just targeted pakistani community when others group of Somalian, afghan, polish,Chinese, bengali and indian sardar and others Europeans very much same as they also make their own grouping and gathering wherever they are in majority.I personally have friends from diverse background but you also should remember that many non muslims especially white preferred to be reserve so you cannot go there and hugs every non muslim brother in the name of multiculturalism lol Pakistani are very open warm hospitable people but not with those who prefer to be reserved or those with some attitude. He was probably ignored because of his attitide and others white british did not felt this way if you bother to read the article before jumping to defend his stupid statement

I can understand your feelings bro. But we are a community like no other. We have been under a very intense media scrutiny since 9/11. The country of our origin has done the most for west & paid the heaviest price but there is no recognition of that.
Wonder why ?
The need for us to engage other communities is greater than any other community since we can't expect the media showing our side of the argument & recognise our sacrifices.
UK establishment was instrumental in brokering a deal between Musharaf & BB to ensure that a government of their favour came in to power no matter how corrupt it may be.
Yet hardly ever is this point high lighted.
When was the last time our community organised a forum & shouted that UK was complicit in installing this corrupt regime ?
The result was that we are labelled as corrupt.
The UK establishment hosted Altaf Hussain, financed & organised his terrorist organisation that killed thousands of police men, civil servants, ordinary citizens & held millions of Pakistanis hostage.
What was our response ? We should have engaged other communities & explained it to them that it's us who is a victim of terrorism & the ones accusing us are the supporters.
How many killings or terrorist acts perpetrated in UK were planned & organised from Pakistan ?

Fact of the matter is Indians & Chinese have a huge economy & a strong political muscle to cover their inefficiencies, the Somalis have a civil war & the accompanying sympathies to thank for.

We have nothing but our own initiative.
