Qatar to upgrade five major airports in Pakistan

Qatar is running lot of other world airport.It was offered before but corrupt bureaucrats did not inform pm and qatar prince complain about it on last visit to pakistan(khan said in his interview with ary).lot of people on this forum act like mullah who believe Israel
have done black magic on pakistan thats why we cant progress i dont know why we have to make every thing conspiracy theory and relate every thing with politics.

Why invest in Airports? Its not like huge cargo planes are shipping out major world exports from Pakistan.

Airports is part of that priority.
We need tourism. We have more natural beauty and attractions than any other place in the world, and what amount of tourism are we getting? The economy of Northern Areas and Gwadar can literally take huge leaps if we attract more and more people for tourism and then financial investments.
Bsides a country is offering to do it, what should we do instead? Hey no, we need you to make us a few hospitals first because we are completely incapable of doing so?

If they can make it 70% of hamad international airport then it wud be a massive improvement over current standards.. If terms and conditions are BOT and with profit sharing then we should get karachi, lahore, islamabad, peshawar, multan/rahimyar khan and gilgit airports sorted out.

Any reason why? The biggest Airport in Europe is 100% private. It has world class facilities. If we can get a world class airport by selling stakes in airport then why not?

Yeah its normally a security risk in our region.

Why do we need a world class airport to begin with during austerity measures?

The issue is what facilities would be upgraded?
The airports in question can not be extending new runways as the land adjacent is sold as residential or commercial properties.

One runway Lahore and Karachi is deemed unusable hence those need to be upgraded asap.
Peshawar airport is a military airport hence there is very little one can do, work can only be done on taxi ways, apron, terminal building and cargo facilities.

Upgrades are required at all airports for A-380 but as the production of this aircraft has been stopped then what is the use of spending millions of USD?

I personally think that those airport will be on Balochistan side where alot of Qatari's come to play hunting.
