MULTAN: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Qatar is like another China for Pakistan and the countries enjoy a fruitful relationship.
The CM issued this statement while addressing a seminar for the establishment of the Sheikh Jassim Hospital in the Haiderabad Thal area of Mankeerah tehsil in Bhakkar district.

Shahbaz said the government is working towards serving humanity in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Taking a jibe at Imran Khan, the chief minister said the PTI chief wanted to put the country on lockdown on November 2, but failed in his mission. Shahbaz said that he always strived for the betterment of Pakistan.
He said the PML-N was doing its best to eliminate the energy shortage and said there will be no more darkness in Pakistan by the end of 2017. He hoped there would be abundance of electricity for the health, education and agriculture sectors.
Talking about the new hospital, he said latest medical facilities would be provided to the public thanks to its construction by the Jassim and Hammad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation of Qatar.
The chief minister said Pakistan maintained a solid relationship with Qatar and was grateful for the construction of this medical facility. He added that the people of Bhakkar and Jhang would benefit from its construction. He gave a briefing on the hospital and said it will be constructed by using the latest techniques and it will be manned by the best doctors.

He said construction is under way and it will be inaugurated after completion. Shahbaz said more than 100,000 Pakistani people are working in different sectors of Qatar. He pointed out that when Nawaz Sharif went to Qatar, he offered his cooperation to the Qatari government for the 2025 Football World Cup. Shahbaz continued there was a distinct possibility that thousands of people would go the gulf country to work.
