MULTAN: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Qatar is like another China for Pakistan and the countries enjoy a fruitful relationship.

The CM issued this statement while addressing a seminar for the establishment of the Sheikh Jassim Hospital in the Haiderabad Thal area of Mankeerah tehsil in Bhakkar district.

Pakistan, Qatar sign $16 billion LNG deal

Shahbaz said the government is working towards serving humanity in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Taking a jibe at Imran Khan, the chief minister said the PTI chief wanted to put the country on lockdown on November 2, but failed in his mission. Shahbaz said that he always strived for the betterment of Pakistan.

He said the PML-N was doing its best to eliminate the energy shortage and said there will be no more darkness in Pakistan by the end of 2017. He hoped there would be abundance of electricity for the health, education and agriculture sectors.

Talking about the new hospital, he said latest medical facilities would be provided to the public thanks to its construction by the Jassim and Hammad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation of Qatar.

The chief minister said Pakistan maintained a solid relationship with Qatar and was grateful for the construction of this medical facility. He added that the people of Bhakkar and Jhang would benefit from its construction. He gave a briefing on the hospital and said it will be constructed by using the latest techniques and it will be manned by the best doctors.

He said construction is under way and it will be inaugurated after completion. Shahbaz said more than 100,000 Pakistani people are working in different sectors of Qatar. He pointed out that when Nawaz Sharif went to Qatar, he offered his cooperation to the Qatari government for the 2025 Football World Cup. Shahbaz continued there was a distinct possibility that thousands of people would go the gulf country to work.

. . . .
Is it the same Sheikh Jasim? Letter wala?

Well Pakistan enjoys strategic relationship with China and what really Qatar have to offer us besides petroleun products that we already buy from Middle East.

There is no nation close to China in these days and even Turkey is enjoying far more brotherly relationship with us compared to Qatar

.
We do not believe China is a great China and Qatar is as a small city of China.
As china is mighty as it's friendship is mighty. We love China more than Qatar.

.
Every now n then he cracks a joke, so what does Qatar means..saif ur rehman.

. . .
I am a Pakistani and this is a news to me LOL.............Chinese are revered here like no other nationality, can same be said for Qatari's respect for Pakistani's? Relations are build on mutual respect for population at large not a few individuals and their wretched families. What a joke these Gangoo and their peasants are...........Total disgrace!

Lol......he should have added that Antarctica also is to Pakistan what China is.......lol.

He's talking absolute rubbish here. NO OTHER nations on Earth apart from China and Turkey mean so much to Pakistan. China and Turkey are the family of Pakistan. They are our TRUE brothers and sisters. Our fates are intertwined now. Nothing can change or reverse that.

Qatar is just another nation that we have should have cordial relations with. Nothing more nothing less. They can't really help or benefit us but neither can we to them.

.
Actually, SS wanted to say that just like China is for Pakistan, Qatar is same for the Sharif Family. Reason?? :what: Do I have to tell you??:pop:

.
yeah for brothers in trouble ofcourse are like china:omghaha:
