LAHORE: The government of Punjab is contemplating to arrest Dr. Tahirul Qadri, chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), in Lahore, ARY News reported Friday.

Sources in the government said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had begun a high-level consultation to get Dr. Qadri arrested.

While some media reports say government had ordered to confine Dr. Qadri in his home. However, if he comes out of his residence in Model Town his arrest will be inevitable, said the reports.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested at least eight workers of the PAT from Model Town area.
