What's new

Putin has pancreatitic cancer

Nobody is calling them "Cold blooded murderers " like ISIS who behead/ blow up people for fun .... But those marines where not properly trained for anti piracy mission since Indian coasts are not even slightly effected by piracy ... No Somali/any other pirate would even dare to enter anywhere near Indian coast( due to the shear might of Indian navy)... These marines got the geography wrong .... Yes, it was mistake on part the marines & the shipping company & i know that SC will remain unbiased (or may be even transfer the case to Int.Court of Justice, given it's merit) .. I also hope that this issue gets solved fast... There is no point in this continuing hostilities.

India has had many islamic terror attacks. Justbthink about what happened in Mumbai...when a small boat raves towards an oil tanker at night and reacts to no warning, what should our soldiers do? Wait until it smashs into the tanker, causes a massive explosion and an economical desaster? That was not about pirates but fear for a terroist attack.

Putin? What has Putin to do with this? Russia is not a member of EU.

Why you think EU ended all talks about free trade with india and also pushed a several billion $ penalty on indian steel corporation Mittal? :D The EU is indians largest trading partner. Our penalties we implemented did cost india several billion $ in the last months. Your own government admits this. :) The airbus deal is peanuts compared to what we already pushed on india. So how comes your government dont act all hard and bla bla but stays silent, while we damage your economy?

I tellyou why, your government wants to find a way out this mess. As your ambassador in italy said... the marine case was cooked up because sonia gandhi is italian, elections were there and she feared it could drop her chances if marines go free. Now india tries to find a way out this mess without loosing face. One is already home and other will follow silently. case closed and business as usual.

Putin will do it for the pleasure of it. No shit, Italy don't have the clout to do a single thing. If we thought the treaty was that important we would have bull-dozed it through. The fact that we haven't done that shows that we don't think it's Defcon 5. You're talking about some chicken shit trade deal, we've done things that you can't even imagine attempting. We bent the entire nuclear control system, we've made major breakthroughs in becoming part of the security council, closing some checken shit trade deal is no big challenge.

'One is not home' yet. The SC gives an order and his *** is on the next plane back. In almost all cases we allow people to be free when the case is on, until the judgement . After that we throw them in jail. Screw what you and your ambassadors think.

Our soldiers guarded an oil tanker. It was night. A small boat came close with high speed and reacted to no warning. What should they do? They feared a bomb attack like the one done against the USS Cole. Calling this "event" murder is plain and simply wrong. Evry soldier would have done that. Beside that, we did admitt, fhat our marines shot those fishermen and we want deal about this case normally and in a calm way and not this diplomatic bullshit. The way its done now, from both sides, is diplomatic chaos. So much damage is done already, The freetrade agreement stopped, contracts hold, bad blood at evry ocassion. Thats not in our interests and also not in indias interests.

Oh your problem is not only with the protocol that they followed, the bigger sin is deploying the si ngle most incompetent Deiplomatic and Political team to handle the affair. Day-1 insult MEA, Day 2 insult judiciary, Day 3, all the other govt. people, Day 5 - give bad name to Christians everywhere. By Day 7 you had officially fucked up all relations with all the people in India. This is no longer an issue about Marines in many ways, its about teaching a lesson to your incompetent political leaders and diplomats. You brought them here and let them loose, now pay the price.

Seriously, is it worth for the world's greatest economy (The European Union) and the world's largest democracy (The Union of India) to fret over a minor miscaculation? Yes, lives were lost, but think about it this way, at least one of the EU's member states had agreed in principle and in course of action to release its military personnel to India's custody to receive justice. Right? Trust me, had it been any other country, this would have never happened, rather, military personnel would have received military justice vis-a-vis a tribunal. In my field of work, that is defined as the very definition of accountability, responsibility.
Both sides, The European Union and the Union of India , need to get past this juncture. Afterall, India is integral to the global geostrategy of the Great Powers.
It's not India Vs EU ... Don't portrait it as one .. It's clearly a bilateral issue between India & Italy.. EU is not involved in it in anyway .. And we have a good relation between almost all EU states .. But there's some bad blood between India & Italy .. .. due to the marine issue. And it will be resolved. Italy just needs to trust our Supreme court ( it will surely give an unbiased judgement)

6 Latin American leaders who criticised US policies fall ill of cancer simultaneously :o::dirol::fie:

six Latin-American leaders were diagnosed with cancer within a relatively close period of time, most notably Argentina’s President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in December 2012, although later analysis proved that she had never actually suffered from the illness.

Current Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Paraguay’s Fernando Lugo, and the former Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, have all been hit with cancer in the last few years. In 2006 it was also reported that retired Cuban leader Fidel Castro was also diagnosed with cancer.

wow.

Lesson: Do not mess with Uncle Sam. Just be nice and have a good life.

one sides justice is seen as unjustice from the other side. You know as well as i do, that italy would not allow that its soldiers are even one day in an indian jail. If that happens, relations will break. Your diplomats know this and ours know this. In the end they will get a prison sentence in absence, will fly back italy and all is fine. This is diplomacy and nothing else. And nations who claim to be friendly with each other must find a solution where both sides save their face.

They WILL spend time in jail if the SC decides so. Get used to the idea.

too bad we already have an agreement that no italian must spend even one day in an indian jail.

Beside that all nationalistic bullshit aside, how would you solve this so both nations save face?

This "minor " trade deal would be with your biggest trading partner. That it is hold shows that india loses in this.

The EU is India's largest trading partner, accounting for 20% of Indian trade. However India accounts for only 1.8% of the EU's trade and attracts only 0.3% of European Foreign Direct Investment, although still provides India's largest source of investment. During 2005 EU-India trade grew by 20.3%.[2]

Trade between the two has more than doubled from €25.6 billion (US$36.7 billion) in 2000 to 55.6 billion euros in 2007, with further expansion to be seen. "We have agreed to achieve an annual bilateral trade turnover of €100 billion within the next five years," Singh told reporters. A joint statement issued at the end of the summit said the EU and India would work to reach an agreement on climate change by the end of 2009.[3]

According to a report in 2010, India, at that time, was the eighth largest trading partner of the European Union, behind China and Russia.[4]

@ markus just compare ur navy with indian navy u ll got ur answer...

Sure we can compare. Italy is actually in combat situations, rescues hostages and has an aircraft carrier. India has no advaced ships, depends on old soviet tech and has no aircraft carrier.

And who are you to decide for them, or whats best for them.
Assuming you are from Sweden, you guys still have monarchy, abolish that first then talk about removing dictators, monarchs are nothing but glorified dictators embellished with "right from God"
BS arab spring was incited by the west, had nothing to do with western culture. Yesterday Tunisia went back to libreal regime, from the western backed islamists. Shia Sunni war started with the Free Syrian Army. Guess who backed the "Free Syrian Army"

This thread isnt worth my time. Thats my last post on this.

Any country which has a dictator, which like the king of Sweden, has zero decision power, AND
is excempt from the laws on freedom of speech (not allowed to state ANY opinion on ANY issue publicly)
will probably be ignored until further notice.

Not that I support monarchy.
The only good arguments in favour of keeping the monarchy are:

A: It is cheaper to have a king, than to run elections every 4 years. At least so I am told, so it might be false.
B: Somehow people are more impressed by dealing with a real king than by
dealing with an elected president of a country with a population of 9-10 million.
That I know is true.

Putting marines in jail for making the wrong decision in an ambigiuous situation is wrong.
If people are killed by mistake, just pay a substantial fine and get over with it.
That would have been the verdict at even a Viking "ting" a thousand Years ago...

Serves noones purpose to do something else.

Obviously going out blasting, Blackwater style needs to be curtailed.

Even if piracy has not happened before in an area, this does not neccessarily mean
it will never happen. Owner of small boats also need to think about their behavior.
Maybe there should be a safety zone around large commercial vessels.

markus...i ll again request you tocompare ur navy with indian navy......
