Technically yes however the border area is covered with large mountains and there are no roads there. If Afghanistan wants to trade with China the best possible way would be to use the Karakorum highway through Pakistan.

People’s have no idea what wakhan corridor is for Pakistan every body is talking about trade n linkage but ignore one fact even our policy makers haven’t think about it . It is it’s River we can get water from Tajikistan and make canals in kph n balouchistan and use it for agriculture purpose .by hook or crook we should get this corridor it will deminish Indians black mailing. Afghan solution would take a heck of a long time and there is no guarantee that it will hold either. By purchasing Wakhan we will have a permanent solution of connectivity with CAS republics and the bets part is that its sparsely populated and the people are of Wakhi origin same as of those found in Chitral and GB.

So its a win-win situation for us and so far not one person has been able to provide a single drawback to this suggestion.

How do you plan on building and keeping the road open year round? The Khujrab pass is closed 8 months a year and it’s at a lower elevation versus the Wakkan Corridor.

we could have done it back in 50s and 60s when afghan forces waged war on us..now its too late and Afghans benefit from being a neighbor to China.
Besides there are UN resolutions that protect sovereignty.. It will be another TRNC that will be under trade embargo.

While buying that strip of land makes sense for Pakistan. But no Afghan government will be willing to sell it. Occupying it by force would be illegal and start a new conflict in the region. To the contrary, we need regional peace in order to develop projects for connectivity and promote trade and commerce. The best solution would be paying transit fee to Afghanistan and use this land as a bridge between Central Asia and Pakistan. That would be a win-win situation for all in the long run. Now that Indians and other occupiers have been thrown out of Afghanistan, the enemies want to create hurdles in the connectivity, trade, and development in this whole region by creating new rifts, conflicts, making new proxies, and then using terrorism. Our goal should be a peaceful use of this land to facilitate trade and not to create new conflicts. The enemy wants to create multiple dimensional wedge between the regional countries and then fuel the war. We need to avoid that.

Purchasing Wakhan corridor is a day dream for Pakistanis but the reality is it’s not going to happen. Most Afghans don’t believe in Durand line and selling that piece of land will jeopardise their stance on Durand Line although no nation in the world agrees with Afghans on this issue anyway

Once Taliban have taken control of Afghanistan, i reckon it would be the perfect moment to purchase the Wakhan district and amalgamate it with KPK which will give Pakistan a direct access to Tajikistan.

Ask china to sell it's border land with wakhan. It will create a buffer zone for china afraid with Afghanistan civil war
