1) To relaunch PTV World will require millions of dollars. New look, new studios, new everything. You need to hire foreign anchors and correspondents. Then there are the technical components as well. I believe Russia spends over $100 million on RT. So you can imagine what it will cost Pakistan to do the same.

2) The recent agreement between Malaysia, Pakistan, and Turkey to launch a channel to combat Islamaphobia has put a monkey wrench into PTV World's plan.

It’s completely waste of resources to revamp PTV at this point. Start a new government-Private venture to create a channel with most advanced technology, hire competent people to run it, half employees and half contractors. Once new channel is up and running, close down PTV.

Indus TV is already doing all the above which you have mentioned.

I think our idiotic Urdu news channels should at least put English titles and main stories so that at least one can read main stories if dont understand urdu.
