IK knows that Faisalabad is the epicentre of PMLN in Punjab with all MNA's and almost all MPA's being from PMLN over there. So you can see he deliberately CHOSE that very city for lockdown as its also the industrial hub of Punjab. Same goes for his choice of shutting down Karachi, epicentre of MQM and Lahore, epicentre of PMLN! Its IK that's been playing confrontational politics to succumb government into agreeing his justified demands of past election probe. Which they did today when PM ordered his Samdhi to negotiate with PTI without any preconditions!

Iftikhar arsalan has been pushing for documents.. I don't know what they're called, but it's what you submit when wanting to contest elections.

If he gets the paper, it means trouble for Imran. Per constitution, he cannot hold public office. Now constitution can change, but PTI isn't in power. So some person can file petition in supreme court or high court to nullify Imran seat. Oh and this is one way to have Imran leave assembly, since the speaker won't accept his resignation even though Imran daily says he has submitted it willfully

It clearly states that you cannot be a loan defaulter or have criminal cases pending against you in courts if you want to contest in elections. Well, if the chief justice is someone like Iftikhar chaudhary, he will certainly accept the petition if it goes against Imran and it satisfies that judge.

Also Zardari has not contested parliamentary elections. And when you have the gov't in majority, a lot of rules can be bend
