There are technical flaws in his assessment.
A hotel owner claimed his bijli ka bill before this project was around 120,00 rupees per month and now reduced to 10,000 rupees. Not possible from a tiny project suitable to fulfil electricity demands of few hundred people only.
The projects mentioned in his documentary are too small projects and suitable only for local people. For example the first project he is talking about is 400kv and that is may be enough to fulfil electricity demands of 60-80 households. Another project he mentioned is under construction of 1mw and that may be sufficient to provide uninterrupted electricity to 150-200 households of Pakistan.
These projects are very good to provide cheap electricity to remote areas and often remain cheaper than national projects as your cost of operations is likely to be higher. If we assume Pakistan has population of 190 million people with size of 5 people per household. We have roughly 38 million households in Pakistan besides providing electricity to industries, offices, shops and other commercial and non commercial places. So for that you need mega projects and that comes with a cost

may be u r right but before considering the electricity consumption in that area first see the basic need of those people... they don't need air condition, most of the year they don't even need the fan, what they actually need there is the electricity to light up their bareek pin wala charger... just kidding.. I actually meant, the need is not that much comparing to the other parts of the PAKISTAN. so may be it can fulfill but what he said about his electricity bill I think thori bhai ne lambi choorr di he... anyway ignore him... just appreciate atleast something better is going on...There are technical flaws in his assessment.

If we exaggerate the figure then may be 300 households will be able to use electricity out of this project, as I said these projects are good in remote areas but can't be compared with projects of national interestmay be u r right but before considering the electricity consumption in that area first see the basic need of those people... they don't need air condition, most of the year they don't even need the fan, what they actually need there is the electricity to light up their bareek pin wala charger...

I do try to appreciate the good efforts of Government and even said the idea of 450 so-called hydel power projects in K-P initiated by the present K-P is a wonderful idea to meet demand of remote or small villages. It does not however contribute much towards eliminating the ever-threatening power crisis. The combined output of 450 hydel power projects might be equivalent to less than 1% of mega hydel projects of Pakistan so it must be taken in its true perspective, but anything contributing towards the economy and people's welfare is a welcome addition.just appreciate atleast something better is going on...

its only kpk gov what they can do for the national interest... they are doing in there province this is there national interest... I think they shud do something like metro... PTI there is not only reserve till the extend of Peshawar... I used to live in Punjab but unfortunate for me that the part of that Punjab was not lahore... nothing has changed there since 10 years... but wen I arrived at Lahore airport I saw a new city... u want them to do the same thing where only 1 city got all the benefits over the whole province.. now plz don't say that they made the solar park... it was better if they don't make that which produce 18megawatts TECHNICALLY in 24HOURS after spending billions...If we exaggerate the figure then may be 300 households will be able to use electricity out of this project, as I said these projects are good in remote areas but can't be compared with projects of national interest

K-P government has not been able to start any mega project from its own pocket or loans but what they have been good at is the macro-level welfare projects for local areas. May be they were inspired by Indian movie "Swades".
Well anything done for the welfare of people is a national interest. K-P government working for the people of K-P would be in the interest of whole nation. There is no doubt that Lahore has received massive investment in Punjab but I see nothing wrong in it as I am unable to identify unfair projects being launched in Lahore that was not the necessity of city, although we can argue about the priorities and depriving other cities to fulfil the requirements of Lahore.its only kpk gov what they can do for the national interest... they are doing in there province this is there national interest... my very dear brother I have a question.. the people working in Lahore who contributes in provincial GDP are they all from Lahore... I think not more than 20%, all other people migrated from other cities... so why not they are developing the home towns of the people from where they came to contribute... and Pakistan is basically an agricultural country... wat abt Gujranwala who massively contribute in the export of rice.. wat about okara district who contribute in wheat. in Renala Khurd District okara thre is a power plant on canal lower bari doab (if I m not mistaken this is the name of the canal) that power plant can produce 5MW electricity with existing machinery installed... 1 turbine is working (out of not sure 5 or 4) ok don't upgrade that plant but they cant even do some maintenance to power up the whole plant so that atleast that city or around villages can get 24/7 electricity.... but wait I think this is not a national interest.. so why would they do that... national interest is solely in Lahore... and maintenance only will not gonna cost around a cror may b.. but they question is why we have to do this when we are busy in installing NANDI PUR power plant... u knw wat I mean by Nandi pur...Well anything done for the welfare of people is a national interest. I am also not convinced that Lahore absorbs the whole of budget as widely portrayed by opposition parties. The bottom line is, Lahore's GDP despite all these efforts is around 100 billion dollars, far lower than its rival cities in the subcontinent i.e India or Dhaka, Bangladesh and its infrastructure despite all this construction work is not the best in the region, it is also true that Lahore contributes most to province's GDP and probably second most in Pakistan so its share of budget is always likely to remain higher.
Whenever opposition parties criticises about N League making bridges or metro bus or infrastructure, my argument is, is it not good for the country as it helps generates employment, revenue, increase gdp growth and provide convenience to public. We can argue about the transparency but I fail to find a reason to criticise the projects of national and provincial interest
