Apparently, people in the last general elections didn't vote on the basis of demand for separate province. So the idea of separate province didn't seem too popular amongst the people.

However I fully support the idea of more provinces and would like to see 20-30 provinces in Pakistan. But there should be independent committee formed for this purpose where professionals, engineers and members from all major political party should sit together and discuss the matter. They should be given full rights and their ultimate decision should be respect by all.

Making committee to define new provinces will only create problem. Political parties will take excuses of language, history, sect and much more. A very simple way to do it is by upgrading present divisions to provinces. It will automatically provide opportunity to elevate district to divisions and Union Councils to District. This hierarchy can be further developed for better administration, enhanced grass root level participation in governance and strip these protocol protocol hungry politicians off the privileges they are enjoying on public money. Smaller units better administration and lean government. Lesser hassles.

Im glad that PTI has taken the decision, it will further delegate power to the local community.

however, other provincial govt should also follow sincerely... pmln was voted for it in Southern punjab, they did their whole election campaign on it.

anyhow its the need of the hour.

Lets wait for the session's proceedings. PTI has played smart, they know that they can't get the 2/3rd majority because the only party that can vote along them would be PML-N's hazara candidates. We have already seen the trailer of divide in the first session when pukhtoon members took oath in Pushto leading hazarawal members to take oath in hindko.

All divisions of country should be converted into provices
Current population of country is above 190m people so need better and improved service in each division not only in famous cities so people stop migrating to big cities which also facing problems of traffic jams and over populated

Atleast PTI don't used and PPP like tactics by submitting resolution near elections so that they can use it next time in elections……
