'PSL more rewarding than IPL': South African Star Dale Steyn slams Indian cricket league

Yes. Dodging us in our prime was a nice tactic. Pakistan is now a team in decline. The t20 global obsession may be partly responsible for cricket standards declining in general.
When did we dodge you in your prime though? I merely said your team should feel lucky that our government isn't allowing us to play you. And I'm not saying Pakistan doesn't want to play us, in fact PCB is very enthusiastic about playing against India, it's just our government holding us back.

Will we even see a PSL in 2022 ???
Looks like the PSL bus has hit the buffers with one set of players from SL almost killed in terrorist attack and all international teams categorically refusing to play in Pakistan for a decade .
This time Pakistan nearly killed players who reported they are terrified and some just flew away without so much as a goodbye.
This time they may not come back for another decade.
PCB will certainly be dragged thorough the courts as Media rights owners who forked out vast amounts of money will obviously demand a refund .
Its going to cost the PCB a lot of money and certainly no guarantee of PSL surviving this debacle.
I am sure Dale will certainly be there next year. Someone ask him.

Fans discuss Dale Steyn's decision to snub IPL and play PSL, South African pacer responds

Another PSL vs IPL debate triggered on Twitter as Dale Steyn organised a Q&A session. The Proteas pacer explained why he decided to play PSL but not IPL this year.

South African pace bowler Dale Steyn triggered a huge controversy with his comments explaining why the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a better franchise league in comparison to the Indian Premier League (IPL). Steyn even pulled him out of the 14th edition of the IPL but went on to play the PSL 2021 campaign.

On Friday, as the Proteas speedster started a Q&A session on Twitter, the discussions over IPL and PSL started on social media once again. A fan popped up the question asking if Steyn is planning to participate in the rescheduled PSL in June as he had pulled out of IPL which is scheduled to be held around the same time (April-May) this year.

“Wasn’t planning on the PSL being postponed. This pandemic has no barriers to its devastation. We all flow with what the rules are made regarding Covid, plans change too unfortunately, we just do our best with the time given,” Steyn responded.

Steyn was a part of the IPL 2020 season for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) but barely featured in the playing XI. He represented the franchise in only three matches, taking one wicket.
