Agree. But, it is a very sensitive topic, when the so proclaimed pride has its roots in nationality, race, ethnicity, caste, and likes. I personally don't ascribe to them; but, in any case, it is a personal choice.

Pride often leads to prejudice which ends up in chauvinism and even fascism. None made this world more dangerous than the proud people. Teach people how to become modest and humble instead. We don't need more proud peoples around us as insecticides/pesticides are getting more expensive !

If i am proud of being honest,truthful and not being corrupt and by doing so setting up a great example for others .Giving just positivity to society then what's wrong in such a pride?

Oh baba ji.. entire internet is filled with such news in which honest poor returns the money to rich. These are all for motivational purposes so that others learn from it and also find some faith/trust in humanity and their/other people. Nothing wrong with any of it unless someone makes it so.

LOL... fun part is Japanese are one of rhe most westernized people.

And as for our ancestors, well, let's just say we wouldn't be in this miserable condition if it wasn't for our ancestors. They were weak and backwards.

I think the biggest problem is our unwillingness to adapt and use reason. Western values (not all) are superior to ours because they tend to be based on reasoning. Our greatest asset as a living organism is our unique brain which allows us greater intelligence than any other living thing, but us Pakistanis just refuse to use it.

We also lack a clear vision, discipline and ability to commit.
