What's new

Proud to be a pakistani

Not at all brother. You're always welcomed here and I wish to talk to you. No one is calling you a bigot nor anything about bombing you're reading into it. I spoke of the mentality, not you, I was conversing with another member in case you saw it. Please read this and reply when you can. I'm not your enemy.

BTW Netflix isn't talking about Chinese too, eh? Why watch it? Do you see now what I was speaking of? (I hope you don't mind me joking either and if you do, I apologize).
I think i prefer to leave this discussion and watch some Netflix as i am being called a prime candidate for becoming suicide bomber (Astaghfirullah) by bigots.

See ya.

You need to realize you're on a public forum. People see what you say and will ask you for it.

Precisely brother. So let's help him. I welcome you to look at the post I highlighted and give your neutral opinion. He turned pakhtunwali against his nation in that post and now he's using religion to do the same. Anything to be critical of his nation
Just want to know why.

I worked in derad ops. This mentality is what turns dangerous given the right mixture and quite literally blows up.
Just went though the post,

The last sentence made me a bit furious, reminded me of one of my bad experience with a Man who unfortunately belonged to KPK.

There is a deep problem with Pakistan.

What’s that ?

Ethnicity and heritage.

Pakistani provinces are drawn upon ethnic divides. This has fueled the ethnicity driven mindset in the last 72 years, nothing more.

Just some moments ago, on a “BAIC partners with SAZGAR to introduce SUVs in pak”,
I said one thing with regards to my despise towards design of rickshaws, a member replied me that it has got to do with the signature shape of rickshaws and how they represent Pakistan to which i had a reply but was lazy to write down.

The reply was “Heritage and Deep Cultural mindset as well as sticking to old things (values/designs/methods) has stopped us from advancing and upgrading towards betterment”

For example, many rural people or even uneducated and some educated ones, they still follow their ancestral methods towards illnesses which have been proven silly and stupid by scientists. Similarly, no matter how much the design of rickshaws signify Pakistani culture, this design lacks basic road safety, is quite a nuisance on roads for four wheelers as 2 rickshaws try to fit together in one lane thus giving birth to 5 more additional lanes on a narrow road as well as bumping into others cars.

Taking this to our cultural and social issues, many (not all) old ethics and morals which usually are ethnicity based or even regional, are actually the thoughts of some illiterate ancestors who used to be heads of families and implemented such acts such that they have become integrated to their societies and generations. For reference, some traditions of SOME sindhis, even Pakhtuns, can’t say about punjab coz i am not familiar with rural punjab.

And when Islam came, our ancestors became muslims, but what went wrong was when they prioritized their local traditions and values on par or higher than islam, they destroyed the pure image of islam and its social framework and that the islam or more specifically the religion most of Pakistan is following is a hybrid of islam and old local values and traditions. We think that we are best muslims but the reality is that we aren’t close to any such thing, not yet.

One can argue with Arab’s beliefs by calling them “so & so” sect but here i am not bringing in sects or such, rather saying that arabs still are quite close to the pure essence of islam if not 100% to the purest. And this conclusion is not based on their beliefs or faith or even their moulanas or books, rather i have witnessed how easy they make islam for lives. Off course, i am not referring to the play boy arabs or those hifi sheikhs living in castles, those are seldom islamic. I have seen some really religious arab families and how simple life they have such that has no Social issues and hurdles than what we have in Pakistan. We have made religion a joke truly and how everything, with regards to raising kids, marriage, income, avoiding bad and prioritizing acts that reward you by Allah.

As for our brother here, he is just another case of some of our KPK people who are more KPKian than Pakistanis although they are patriotic Pakistanis as much as anyone.
This is a trait he inherited from a long lineage of Proud Pakhtun qaum but they need to understand that Nothing is greater than ISLAM and PAKISTAN at the moment, not even local ehtnic values and morals.

Your first name ilyasmyhero was another emotional drawn name, which was actually wrong factually as the name is actually Qusai Rashed.

Now here you are again, another emotionally drawn name, supporting uiyghurs, Which is a debated topic atm.

You should try to open up your mind, and try to understand from the other person’s perspective as to why someone is saying something.

Agreed brother. Cultures need to adapt or die out or cause undue misery which defines our people. It's sad and I think taking your rickshaw metaphor that it has to do with a lack of priorities. How can road safety be below cultural iconography? That's because, I think, we don't reflect. My pet peeve is cousin marriage I have dealt with so many mentally handicapped children and their siblings being born because of repeated cousin marriages even when shown proof people are like its just our culture and continue to be and cause misery. How can human suffering not be that moving?

People usually credit the western civilization to come out of their so-called “Outdated/“Dakyanusti”” mindset post industrial revolution or those regular social reforms protests that used to happen post 1950 and that their society has transitioned from what they were before 1900, but the reality is quite different, it took them a millenium to change from what they were actually. Medievel Europe, is what we are currently (a bit better in many aspects than them tho) but i think, as per how we are going on, the poverty and lack of awareness, another 2-3 generations will be wasted in this ‘daldal’.

I am not calling the western society superior by any means, never. They have went astray, to a point where many of there habits are similar to animals such as mating with any random person or constant drunkard ness. Rather, i am trying to highlight the transition of the ancient roman civilization to post islamic conquests and the death of roman empire to medieval europe to scientific research and advancements and occupation of foreign lands to world war 2 and modern day civilization.

Not practical on fire grounds but very much practical when appropriate scenario is present and i do that quite often, instead of getting all cool and sweet and acting as balm, i rather criticize the wrong person to further make him feel ashamed and cause regrets.

I have been thinking to write a long case study like article since sometime but finding it hard to give dedicated time to it. Give me some time, i will note down keypoints, then expand on them with facts, then you guys can restructure it

Let's collab, like write an outline and let's just keep elaborating. Been there before, bro, that 'time' may never come. Just my thoughts

Pakistan bores more good honest humans that corrupt ones that's why this country has survived things other nations could not. Pakistan is much more than its government. Or again would you see everything with one eye?
But infront of the world who is officially representing Pakistan ? It's people or it's corrupt elected politicians and government?
Pakistan gets such a bad corrupt image from the investment point of view and in general because the world never gets a chance to see honest and hardworking people like that burger making kid. A while ago I remember a poor rickshaw driver returned a huge amount of money to a passenger who forgot it in his rickshaw.
This is the reason why many times on this forum I advocated a death penalty for corruption because this corrupt system is deeply insulting ordinary honest and hardworking pakistanis.

.
Agreed, sir, no tolerance for the corrupt but I think the world is beginning to see us more than just our govt. I think it'll get better as we head towards the right direction.

Yes say thanks to the booming tourism in Pakistan and YouTube which is exposing ordinary pakistanis to the whole world.

Do you suffer from piles? or some other non-letting itch. I am not joking, I have never seen so much negativity in a person, did you grow up in good loving family? Have you ever considered seeing a psychologist?

He will never be PM of the country unfortunately.

Not Elite enough nor Oxford enough nor handsome enough. Unless he has a secret peerni pulling the strings for him.
