It is the private sector that will determine the growth of Karachi, Lahore or any other city. Squabbling over a government organisation that barely provides jobs to a few hundred people in a city of over 20 million isn't going to get you anything. This ghisi pitti mentality of fighting over government jobs need to end.
Karachi had two issues; security and infrastructure.
The first one has been solved to a large degree but Karachi really lags in infrastructure development.
Unfortunately this problems is going to persist for the foreseeable future. The provincial government isn't interested because its voter base doesn't reside in Karachi, while the federal government has absolutely no money to carry out any flagship infrastructure project on its own.
Unless we see a revolution in Sindh, Karachi would either have to be made a separate province or should be declared federal territory.
