su35 is quite good at subsonic manurerability,and the su35s improved its transonic performance.that's a part.
it has more space for avionic devices, more fuel, more payload,which means its potential to upgrade is huge.
in nowadays airbattle is not only dogfight,it relys more on systems,like awacs,jammers,and even uavs.big body means more task can be integrated into one fighter which improves combat efficiency.these are necessary for an aggressive air force.
still su35 may not win F22 whether in a dogfight or bvr fight. but it has its value.

But any thing can be happen in the air it's all about the opponents take decisions on the point of time, most of the time. Even two aircraft have BVR's but speed plays a vital role here. Think about the closing in speed of two aircraft head to head and already have used their BVR's on each other. after just in few seconds the theater will be with in visual range. Then It doesn't matter what radar or EW suits.

American and Russian philosophy of designing aircraft is very different. Russian are more in dog fight where American are more hit and run objective achieving approach.

PAF is a little fossilized. If they really need J-11 series, they can ask PLAAF to retire some J-11Bs and then sold to them as second hand. Before handing over, the J-11B can be upgraded to J-11D level.
Russian may have some words if we sell brand new one, but they can not forbid us to sell retired Su-27

The aircraft in posted pictures is "Xian JH-7" this is comparable to American F-111. Too bulky and twin engine PAF haven't consider or evaluated this aircraft so I think the chance are slim to non.

I don't understand why people are calling Russian jets as 'hard to maintain' since most we will be doing is to buy 2-3 squads at most. Maintenance/spare parts are an issue when you have 100+ jets from the same vendor and their Govt is creating problems to get things done. We can have critical spare parts in advance or can get relevant parts from China when required.

Su-35 has huge RCS and whereas F-22 5th Gen LO jet, F-22 AESA can detect/track Su35 250-300 km out and engage it with AMRRAM-D with a range of 160+ km and Su-35's doesn't know that where and when it had been destroyed, in dog fights ECM, ECCM, ESM and EW are more important then in BVR fights because your enemy is in your close quarter applying every tactics to defeat you do research bro before you post
