So nukes do help the equation then? From an otherwise insignificant nation to a big power player and cornerstone of US foreign policy in the larger South Asian region, it just proves that US doesn't give a jack about India. Their relationship is according to their own needs.

Obama came to India in winter 2010, Osama died in may 2011, almost after 6 months.It also coincides with the period when Osama was under America's watch.
Obama did not want to give out too much at that stage but he did hint "It is also a country that....within it has SOME of the EXTREMIST elements".

If San Diego FBI agent Steven Butler had known what the CIA knew about possible terror attacks, he may have had the best chance to stop the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers, investigators told ABCNEWS.

Butler had two of the hijackers, Nawaf Alhamzi and Khalid Al-Midhar, under his nose for some 18 months, but neither he, nor anyone in the FBI, was warned by the CIA.

The CIA had tracked Alhamzi and Al-Midhar to California after the men were photographed at an al Qaeda planning meeting in Malaysia in January 2000 where, it was later determined, terrorists were plotting the attack on the USS Cole.

WASHINGTON: US secretary of state John Kerry has proposed a 16% cut in the American aid to India, reflecting the transition from a traditional "donor-recipient" relationship to a "strategic partnership" between the two countries.

"With respect to India, for the fiscal year 2014, the State Department request is $91 million. This represents a 16% decrease from the fiscal levels 2012 (the previous actual spending)," a senior state department official told PTI.

This is in continuation of the trend that has emerged over the past few years.

Sire your post took this thread in a tangential direction, may be you did not understand the context in which OBL was mentioned.
My post was not about why ISI could not sniff out OBL when he was present right under their nose?
In my post I'd tried to explain why POTUS answered that question carefully without giving out too much. My post was in context of the question asked to Obama and his answer.
If this same question is asked when Obama comes to India this time, then I'm sure he would 've a lot more line to add to his answer.
But as I said earlier, I dont want that happening. It would only further increase the plethora of difficulties India is facing in bringing Pak to the table.

The question posed by the girl is actually pre-scripted and India didn't get the desired result of it's mass media and political campaigns. The only good thing happened for India is to weigh the process of future intensification for the same. Lastly, no country will ever be in favour of calling Pakistan a terrorist state. Again stratigically and politically not possible.
