Well, when you get exposed badly, what do you do is write a letter to ISI or FIS. Lol. The fact is, ppp is responsible for crippling Pakistan in all fronts and this proves they are nothing more than traitors and enemy of the state.

The debate of corruption & list of traitors in very long and it's not just limited to PPP or Sindh. Politics aside, we shouldn't let any foreigner to create rift within Pakistan. Haven't we learnt from the history or we are not capable of solving our problems ourselves that we need services of an unknown foreigner. Isn't she from a one of the country which Pakistanis love to blame daily for all their ill. Could she be a female version of Raymond Davis? Who knows .... a blogger who travelled through Pakistan for few days suddenly thinks thats she knows more than us. Just because her narrative appeals most of us doesn't mean its true or false. She could be sued for similar tweets in her home country and end up in prison.

Common Pakistani doesn't do it in real life, only some media anchors and "analysts" make such rants for reasons I have never been able to understand, the same anchors love india (their beloved hindustan as they call it) which is actually one of the main reasons behind many of Pakistan's existing problems related to terrorism and sabotage.

Her recent tweets have done no favours for brand Pakistan. We have religious fanatics who create division based on sect and now we have a foreigner who is causing rift based on ethnicity. Some of her tweets might be true but it's causing more harm to already fragile nationalism. She has nothing to loose but damage to Pakistan will be irreparable since Sindhi nationalism is already on the rise. Therefore I have to question her motives. We need to be honest to brand Pakistan before anyone else will be.

I've to disagree, media analysts only exploit what people already want to hear. Add religious parties to the list who see Jewish/US hand in almost everything from iodised salt to polio vaccination. Events from Afghanistan to Syria also influence common people.

Such parties don't have any support among the common people of Pakistan, they are all insignificant tanga parties filled only with their stupid religious supporters which are only few, may be 1 or 2 in every 100.

If not Cynthia, it’ll be someone else. Politicians are not and cannot be immune to criticism just because they’re from a particular ethnic group. If we go that route and criticism of PPP leadership doesn’t occur despite their crimes, corruption and abysmal governance record, then how are the voters in Sindh going to make informed decisions and how is the PPP ever going to be voted out of power?

Additionally, Cynthia cannot be accused of deliberately ‘sowing ethnic divisions’. She has also gone after the PMLN, which is a predominantly Punjabi party, and she’s a PTI (predominantly Pashtun) supporter.

Sindhi nationalism is not in any organic ‘rise’. It is being stoked by the PPP because that the tool they always fall back on when their power is threatened. The PPP has an abysmal governance record, so this Sindhi nationalism is the only thing they can bank in and the Indians are willingly helping (does not mean the PPP is in bed with India, just that their interests might coincide at this point).

At the end of the day, this blackmailing by the PPP has to stop, but it won’t stop so long as the PPP is in power. The circumstances of the people of Sindh that allow the PPP to play the Sindh card are never going to change so long as the PPP is in charge and keeps blaming everyone else for their own failures.

You would be naive to suggest PPP employs the Sindh card as a monopoly.

Recent additions to the banned organisation list in Sindh may give you a better idea.

Sindhi Nationalism is not going away. It is ingrained in the folk songs and the traditions.

Same goes for all other provinces made by colonial raj which have infused administrative units into a political ethnicity.

The ones governing the country know this and govern accordingly.

Agreed but few tweets by a foreigner against their deceased leader on something which happened years ago is not going to help either. That means someone wants to instigate trouble. There are better ways to highlight PPP or political corruption or incompetence.

That is a bigger red flag for me. How can one trust a foreigner that she hasn't got bigger motives. My whole point of view had been from national prospective not ethnic or political.

I don’t see how you can equate Tarek Fatah and Cynthia - Cynthia does not go around abusing an entire faith or people or ethnic group like Tarek Fatah does with Islam, Pakistanis and Punjabis.

Tarek Fatah spreads communal disharmony in India at the behest of Indian Establishments by abusing Congress, Mullah ka Islam etc. Cynthia is spreading ethnic disharmony by targeting the party which best represents the interests of Sindh.

Her tweets are doing nothing of the sort. Only people with tunnel vision, like yours, claim that. Criticizing a corrupt human being doesnt mean you are anti-sindhi just bcz the person in question was a sindhi. By that logic, criticizing ayub khan means you are anti pashtun, criticizing altaf hussain keans you are anti urdu speaker. Dont be stupid and look beyond your regional, ethnic and tribal loyalties.

She covered the pathetic state of services in Sndh, under ppp, she also uncovered how ppp witholds water to play politics over it. This certainly doesnt look like a party that represents sindh's best interests. Only blind ethnic nationalists think that.

Maybe, maybr not. But benazir most certainly was able to silence her most vocal opponent who could have irreparably damaged her vote base in sindh, given an alternative to sindh, but she, like the emperors of old, couldnt let that happen.

Also, awesome to see that those supporting her have no counter argumentsotherthan whataboutism and blind emotional blackmail in the name of a certain ethnicity thay she and her party have been exploiting.

We already know that anyone(any local) who tries to uncover or discuss this will end up dead or "missing" , blamed on the agencies, so its good that a foreigner is doing this. Ppp cant do shit to them, without their respective embassy getting involved.
