Upper middle class and upper class suburbs are mostly safe. These suburbs are their own towns with their own police. They go to great lengths to maintain safety to keep up the premium appeal of the towns for the tax base that pays their salaries.
Just don’t move to or near projects. I knew a nice Bengali family moved in there. Parents and older daughter kept to themselves and traditional. The younger daughter was not so much, and caught the attention of the young men and well in a matter of ONLY a year … I’d rather not say.
Yes, I’ve heard Norway is generally safe, but would you say all of Oslo is safe? To move ahead, and avail yourself of opportunities, you really have to do the research, on the ground, and take calculated risks.
There is a reason, many new immigrants move to either ethnic/religious enclaves in the large cities (where the community can help watch over the kids) if there is a sense of community, or to small town America, where it would be the same concept regardless of background.
Are you Ethnical Norwegian? The upper Midwest may appeal to you. Perhaps Minnesota.
Although, I hope you see what honest people that lived in Minnesota say about the state.
