The afghan president Daoud Khan tried that in the 1960s. Ayub Khan closed the entire border. It ended with Afghanistan's economy collapsing and has remained in that state (if not worse) ever since. Next thing you know a bunch of rich kids in Kabul pull off a communist revolution.

You seem to consider only the Pakistani point of view and claim to be gracious host and supported their freedom struggle. Did you ever ask the question why is that ? Why the Afghan refugees has these feelings ? What are Pakistanis doing that has created so much dislike among the Afghans ?

Well the sincerity becomes questionable if you attack India after 4-5 years, the same year India was hosting Pakistani Agricultural Minister Rana Abdul Hamid as Chief Guest in the Republic day parade, an honour of highest order for a foreign representative given by the biggest democracy in the World.

It was basically American diplomatic manoeuvring to coerce Pakistan to contain socialism, by getting into an alliance with India which was part of NAM, but with growing Soviet influence.

Afghan refugees are not responsible for loss of 20 thousands civilians and faujis at the hands of TTP (28 thousands deaths in 50 thousands death toll, are of TTP). Blame the wrong policies of Pakistani military elite for it. And milking America for dollars in Afghan Jihad, was also decision of military rulers, blame them.
