Target is 2019 than the current election really, from what i hear Kerala BJP's focus is to ensure 5 LS seats. The vote share in current election will cross 22%, if they can continue to work their way up they can very well cross 30% by 2019. Meanwhile i had the local MLA visit me asking for votes The guy has been visiting everyone in the locality

In India Kerala is one of the states were RSS have Strong Base..............But without Taking along 48 % of minorities who are spread evenly across Kerala BJP have no Chances in Kerala ...............They Can't win even 1 Loksabha seat.

If BJP gains a significant vote share, do you guys see Communists and Congress coming together to fight BJP in future?

Here BJP can never be a significant factor, barring few areas like trivandrum/kasargod/Palakkad.... So coming together at state level wont happen .....Yes at local levels there can be adjustments among themselves to keep BJP away....

You really are putting your head in the sand. RSS had a presence here but BJP never really did. 48% of minorities are not spread evenly across Kerala. Most of the time they have a strong presence in certain localities like Kotayam,Malappuram, etc....

Political violence was always there in Kerala....... It is not about hindu majority places, it is more about strong holds of RSS and CPM..... Political murders are a normal thing in Kannur district...in some parts of Palakkad.......

There has been scores of Whatsapp jokes going around in congy social media about their alliance with leftists in W.B. Any Alliance with left will not go well for the core congy voters here. Congy being a junior partner in W.B alliance did not help either

If that become 22% then you are heading towards a hung assembly (without reading too much in to the seats sharing of exit polls)

Above 22% for BJP, it will be hung.

I doubt BJP will cross 20%. Even 15% would be a huge achievement...

lol, i am part of the traditional upper cast. Palakkad has considerable number of upper cast votes for BJP. Nairs are actually beginning to side with BJP

Its shame that state with 100% literacy casts votes based on religion.

It is not bihar or UP, People here have clear understanding about politics and current affairs..... We as a community is one of the most self criticizing one in the country ...Here the logic of "Publicity" wont work....Negative publicity will be taken as negative..... and Modi got into a trap.... But i guess he would have thrashed the negative publicity in his usual style. he had the opportunity too.... But some how he did not......

If you understand my post clearly and its context, then you will not see any contradiction..... When it comes to social media propaganda, all the 3 alliances were using it big time...... so I do not know how it is going to affect..... I cannot say that it wont affect..... But to what extent, i do not know....

Wrong.... Have seen enough of them....... But i agree they have not used to the extend which they normally do...... I think Congress had more confident on Ummachan than central leadership.......

I have no clue where you saw them, i did not see even 1 poster not 1 single poster of Gandhi from Ernakulam to palakkad to ponnani to Trissur not 1 poster.


One of the exit polls VDP associates gives 15 seats.. We will find out tomorrow
