Iraq is the only Arab Gulf state that's not a member of GCC. Two differences between Iraq and the 6 GCC states:

1. it is Shia not Sunni (except for Oman which is Sufi)

2. it is a republic not a monarchy

There is nothing called "Gulf Arab country" to begin with. It's Eastern Arabia which is an ancient historical region.

Other than that an Arabic dialect that is spoken in mostly the coastal regions of Eastern Arabia. In KSA less than 200.000 people speak a Gulf Arabic (Khaliji) dialect. Aside from that a musical genre.

Nor do you have to border the Gulf to become a potential member. Yemen for instance is an Arabian country as they get and located on the Arabian Peninsula but not a member. Yemen "only" borders the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.

Basically it's a union of neighboring monarchies on the Arabian Peninsula with shared interests although the countries are distinct just like every historical region in major Arab countries are.

This union might expand one day among Arab countries as the likes of Jordan, Morocco etc. (also monarchies) have expressed interest in joining.

Iraq too.

Yemen too.

Iraq
Iraq is the only Arab country bordering the Persian Gulf that is not a member of the council. The associate membership of Iraq was discontinued in 1990 after itsinvasion of Kuwait in the Gulf War.[57][58] In 2009, it was reported that Iraq was set to join the cartel of the GCC Chambers of Commerce.[59]

In 2012, Iraqi Defence Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi stated that Iraq wants to join the GCC.[60] Kuwait supports Iraq joining the GCC.[61]

In the current political climate Iraq cannot join GCC. In a perfect world they should join as a neighboring brotherly Arab country if they want to do that. It's better to cooperate than to be enemies. Especially as brotherly people. A lot of benefits mainly economical.

Anyway there is no hope for the MENA region with this current generation in power so it's irrelevant really. The silly enmities will continue and brother will continue to kill brother and more mothers will cry.

What's your point? I already told you that Iraq won't join the GCC in the current political climate. That's not to say that this can't change in 10 years time for instance or when relations approve.

KSA just appointed an ambassador to Iraq.

Saudi Arabia Names Ambassador to Iraq | Iraq Business News

Your first article is from a Western media posted in March 2013. In December 2012 the Iraqi Defense Minister urged the GCC to let Iraq become a member state of the GCC.

Your second article is from March 2014 and it's al-Maliki barking. The same al-Maliki that was/is hated by the Iraqi people by large and known as an incompetent leader. He believed that support for Iraqi Sunni Arabs was terror.

The last article is from June 2014 with the same al-Maliki barking. The same man that is obsessed about KSA despite being a refugee in KSA during the early 1990's after escaping the Saddam Hussein regime.

Arabic article.

It seems to me that you missed my point but that's nothing new with you.

. . .
Arabian Gulf Countries should first take steps to free Iraq from that bunch of safavid people who rules Iraq and kills Iraqis by Iranian weapons then they are welcome to be a part of our community.

. . . . . . .
Iraq is mesopatamia , lot of civilizations came to these lands.
they don't match GCC countries too.

and the region needs more cooperation, not things like GCC with their own agenda often linked to bad policy in the region , sectarian , ideological.

.
My ancestors built Baghdad. Give it back.
Baghdad was built by the natives of Iraq with the help of the persian architectures

The majority of the Abbasid ministers and generals engineers and scientists were from Iraq and persia like al barameka al tahiri and banu buyyeh

So don't claim the achievements of the other people
