Poll: If Reham enters politics, will you vote for PTI in next elections?

If Reham enters politics, will you vote for PTI in next elections?

I, personally, would go for winning the elections.

Kunkay ghar main ya gatherin main beth kar achi achi batain har koi kar leta hai, and with young people of middle class, you can only do that.

To get into power in Pakistan, you have to be ruthless.

After coming into a power, a person can implement the reforms and stuff needed so middle class young people can come in.

So why would people vote ya to begin with since you'd wanna be the part of the status quo?
What would be different about you for people to consider ya as a potential Prime Minister?
And if you somehow your party gets elected, how would you go about tackling your representatives
since essentially it'd be you vs your electables in the end?

Edit: Also why would the electables join ya? Mind ya, Imran with all his charm, celebrity
status, fan base, military backing doesn't have enough electables to form a government
in Punjab let alone Pakistan.

Why Reham joining or not joining PTI should be the criteria to caste vote for pti or to judge its performance as a political party. I did caste vote once and that was fot PTI n last lection in Rawalpinid where they won the seat. I was disappointed with fasadi politics of ik after election and now watching closely whether i should vote them or vote none of them if no difference at all

In your mind, what is the status quo?

Having electables doesn't mean having corrupt and inept people, keep that in mind.

Again, please understand that electables doesn't mean you have to have every chor, daku and corrupt man with you.

Shah Mehmood is an electable, but he isn't corrupt and inept. Arif Alvi, that Afridi guy, Shafqat Mehmood, Pervez Khattak and others.

And remember, PTI has a host of fresh faces as well. It's a balanced mix as far as the current MNA's go.

So you keep a nice mix of both, and the electables aren't corrupt or inept or just ignorant.

A simple answer will be NO, but to other on this thread what OTHER options we have left with? Will we going to try the same who have been tried and tested before...? Well that is called Insanity:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Yes, on one hand we all want the democratic setup to not derail and wants this process to cleanse itself in due time but unfortunately in a Country where a "plate of biryani", feudalistic pressure etc dictate the fate of the voting majority you cannot remain optimistic for the things to change over due course for a long time. I am not advocating a revolution (as we are not capable of it... if we were it would have happened by now), what I am trying to ask is what legitimate choices do we have...?

There is no guarantee that Imran will be better than others. what if he prove himself worse than others..His politics dont seem mature and calm and opinions keep changing which resulted in many u turns but yea i wish to see him as PM once so that some people get back in reality :)

Agreed; you still have that incentive that you haven't tried him once. But my question still remains IF NOT IK than who else and why? keeping in mind the political history.

Also, what is the definition of a "mature politician"? and if indeed we had mature politicians in the past leading the Country then why the Country is in such a mess...why you see a common man so dissatisfied?

The current State apparatus.

Having electables doesn't mean having corrupt and inept people, keep that in mind.

Of course it doesn't and never implied so. What I said was when you'd be putting forward electoral reforms,
of which, the middle class youth would be a beneficiary too - you would, by default, be up against your current
electables unless of course they are some saints who won't mind parting with their monopoly over middle class.

Again, please understand that electables doesn't mean you have to have every chor, daku and corrupt man with you.

You don't get it. What is I'm saying is the current electables have monopoly over middle class in elections.
With electoral reforms, you'd widen their pool of competitors. Hence, make it difficult for them to get elected.

And you do realize electables isn't synonyms with rich person, don't ya?

I lost faith in PTI a long time ago. The reasons are obvious. I don't want to mention them in case i hurt the egos of some people here.

Unfortunately the bitter truth of Pakistan's Politics is that you need Electable's to win Elections. An MBA Grad of Stanford or Harvard is not going to win an election from Sheikhupura or Nankana Sb. This is a bitter pill, and IK has been late to learn it. In our Rural Areas, its the strong men who win elections. Those who own lots of lands, can get people jobs, loan them money and resolve their issues. People look unto them and vote for them, its the personalities and not the Party's ideology or the Party's Leader.

And remember, PTI has a host of fresh faces as well. It's a balanced mix as far as the current MNA's go.

Actually, majority of PTI's MNA's and MPA's from KPK are brand new faces. Professionals in their own respective fields, wanted to work for the betterment of the country, thus joined PTI. These are people who couldn't have dreamed of winning the local counsellor election let alone MNA or MPA seat. KPK's politics is quite progressive compared to the rest of Pakistan. One has to admit it, this is why no other political party has been able to win elections twice in a row.

My friend harsh reality is that there is no quick fix for all problems which Pakistan is facing right now. People can buy false hope of ik just like they did believe in these slogans and rhetorics of previous rulers but real test is when you are at driving seat thats when we test the ability of leader and whether he or his tola free from corruption

I agree with what you are saying.

And that is why I also mentioned that you should have a healthy mix of all sides. Which I believe PTI does have. But evidently, it didn't have enough electables or big wigs to get a large amount of seats.

Secondly, you just can't pool all the electables in one place.

Their are a few kinds.

Take Shah Mehmood for example. Or Saad Rafique. Shah Mehmood is an electable, with a strong family background in the region. But he won't be against electoral reforms. But he isn't inept or incompetent. Neither is Saad Rafique.

Then you have the likes of Daniyal Aziz and maybe even Jehangir Tareen. THey are a mixed bag.

And at the bottom of the food chain comes the real filth, such as Hanif Abbasi. He would definitely be against reforms.

Different people for different jobs.

It's now a test of one's leadership abilities that how well he copes with the situation and keeps true with his initial agenda.

And this is the crunch time for Imran Khan. His true qualities will be starting to show now.

Yes and I pray for things to turn in Pakistan's favor:

Fatima Jinnah was also in politics. Right. Creteria : Sister of Quaid e azam. But she worked good for woman.
But imran khan and reham khan should stay away from tariq jameel and others otherwise he will make this province as talibStan.
Stone age mentality is big hurdle towards progress.

Imran is not part of the status quo, he is the status quo!
