Bro, in Japanese culture , sexuality is very important for relationships , and for personal health. I would say that for me and for most Japanese, an active sex life is essential. It is as essential as food, air, sleep. Japanese men and Japanese women are experimental when it comes to sexual activity ; beneath our veneer of stoicism, professionalism, and respect, we also enjoy an active, healthy sex life.

This is why AV industry is so popular in Japan.

Don't Diss AV Actress, that was hard job, if you ask any sex worker, you will know how hard for them to earn a living...

I would say it's harder than most job out there, and they do deserve some respect

But i thought sex life has been experiencing a downfall for quite some time in Japan based on some articles i have read. Many young men prefer digital girlfriends, boys/girls rather stay single, low birthrate as a result of that. Or does those articles portray a different picture compared to reality? Do you think Japanese AV industry contribute to society or is it a negative thing?

Sex life is important in every part of the world, still AV in US and Japan seems to dominate the market. I think Leio is curious of your opinion on your view of the Japanese AV industry.

I think Chinese are more conservative in the sense that they don't like to be 'open' with such things. But in regards to basilar instincts ? As far as u knew, thousand years the Confucianism taught Chinese excessive SEXY is bad for health and consider it as badness '乐极生悲，纵欲成患' '寡欲必多男，贪淫每无后' '女色是众苦的根本，障碍的根本，杀害的根本，忧愁的根本'... just like i said the sexy is opposite to Chinese culture and we didn't talk it in public. Definitely there are some people who lack confidence to approach a woman , and hence they resort to desperation so they are single or go for fantasy. You have to understand Japanese culture in that the woman (in Japan) expects the man to be an alpha dog , aggressive, dominant, confident. The more confident the man, the more he exudes his dominance, the more the woman melts inside. The more she will yield. Traditionally, Japanese women prefer men with such qualities. I don't know for other Japanese guys, but for me, videos or what not does cannot satisfy my need for the real thing. There is only so much fantasy can do, does that make sense?

Its all about supply and demand, bro. So long as there is a demand, there will be a supply. In Japan, AV actors and actresses are well respected, and compensated handsomely.

Many of these so called Japanese lovers in China are actually pro-unification , pro-Japan-China. There is nothing wrong with that. Some of my own countrymen would even call me a 'China Lover' for being too positive in view , as well as supporting integration between Japan and China. You will see that many of the Chinese folks who admire Japan , like the Japanese who admire China , are supportive of calming tension between Japan and China. These are pragmatist folks that we need more even now. Especially now.
