Policeman martyred, dozens injured in Islamabad clashes; Army called

I bet Mr. Khaqan Abbasi does not think so!

The same Khaqan Abbasi that said a disqualified person Nawaz Sharif is his PM so the credibility is not that enough to bet on though, in your case you can do so as it is still PMLn.... isn't it? If he is credible enough in this for you then he said many things about India and Kashmir as well for which, I bet you wouldn't think so..... Chill and try to understand political battle come security issue, at the moment.

ISLAMABAD: Leaders of a protest being staged by a religious group in Islamabad on Saturday presented a new set of demands to end their three-week agitation in the federal capital and other parts of the country.

Hundreds of supporters of Tehreek-e-Labaik Ya Rasool Ullah being led by firebrand cleric Khadim Hussain Rizvi have been blocking Faizabad Inter-Change for nearly three weeks.

The protestors demand that Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid step down for his alleged role in a recent amendment which now stands withdrawn.

The government has categorically rejected the demand for the law minister’s resignation.

On Friday, Islamabad High Court (IHC) called the protest an act of terrorism and ordered the government to remove the protestors.

Police, FC and other law enforcement agencies finally launched a crackdown on Saturday morning, resulting in a showdown between two sides.

Despite daylong clashes, law enforcement agencies haven’t been able to break up the protest.

Recent reports suggest that protestors have returned to Faizabad Exchange, where they are being addressed by their leaders.

The TLY leaders are now calling for the resignation of entire cabinet of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to call off the protest. – SAMAA

People are doing their work, but question is what government is doing? Nothing..

Government asked police force to take a step further and start the operation.

I’m really sorry mate what you want to see or whatever you’re imagining to see is not the situation. Every country has some protests going on every now and then. There’s no big deal in it and government is trying to handle it.

See like in India they are protesting for the ban of a movie and asked to chopped of your famous actress’s nose.

Just chill.

You can see us having laughs here too. :)

A simple question - how many mullah groups are there in Islambad?? Both big ones like the Red Mosque and smaller ones.

These goons are burning the country. It is becoming another Lal Masjid episode. At last government has to call Army and would do so rightly. Though I was not in favour of Army use earlier but look at the situation. These people are trying to make entire country hostage. No law has been changed NOT a single word so their destruction and terror against majority Muslim citizens of Pakistan is horrifying. NOT a good sign. You can not surrender to destruction

If Pak Army moves against the protesters it will become another Lal Masjid.

After Lal Masjid operation, propaganda was started against the Pak Army to create a perception that its working for america and against the interests of Islam and muslims. And this created a great wedge between the army and the people, severely demoralizing the armed forces.

It took many years, social media and Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa to decrease this wedge between the people and the Pak Army, and gain the respect and trust of the the Pakistani Nation.

So if the army intervenes and move against the protesters, all the propaganda will be started again, resulting in the same situation as was after Lal Masjid operation.

Army should only intervene to remove the Gov. !

Process of coup
1. Spread anarchy
2. Take control
3. Block all media
4. Addressing the nation on PTV
5. Elections promise

Government is doing it all by themselves to invite the Army. For step 2, they have sent the summary to call the Army, step 3 already in progress as media blackout is being observed so expect 4 & 5 anytime
