It's hard for them to stop saying that sometimes, because they are so blinded by their wrong beliefs. Other time they may point their finger in the air (as the symbol for Allah being the One).

With sketchy details, one can probably construct many possible scenarios. Most likely scenario, in my opinion, goes something like this:

Heightened security, as tahirnisarsyed pointed out, could very well mean that there was intelligence information regarding possible attacks in that area. Hence, when a suspicious fellow walked up and unceremonious yelled Allah-o-Akbar, the security personnel opened fire. What is most surprising is that the jacket didn't explode anyway, I was under the impression that impact with the ground could cause these home-made devices trigger.

If that story regarding the accidental shooting of a woman in Peshawar is true, then it makes me very sad indeed. The first casualty of war is innocence, and unfortunately, even those doing the right thing are imperfect. It's no consolation for the family of the undeservedly deceased, of course, but the least we can do is admit such incidents openly and compensate the families as much as possible, so as not to push them towards extremism.

Please refrain from posting images I feel, The person was accused of being suicide bomber I do not see truths emerging in media yet. Such images should be banned.

What would be normal reaction of a person when gun totting policeman calls him ? Obviously he will try to avoid them but he can get shot for running away from them and can be accused of anything.

thats what made me not to believe it without authentic sources.


It is very much possible that police had warned anyone to stop and the person out of fear ran away while police killed him and now what would be the best make up story other than claiming that he was shouting that narah.


i am doubtful about it because a woman was killed in a similar manner iin Peshawar last year

I think the police have a tough enough job as it is - of late many police officers have died while doing their job, and stopping suspicious vehicles and individuals. Today a policeman died when he stopped a rickshaw to search it, and the suicide bomber inside detonated his device killing 3 people. The police officer on the motorway died similarly.

We should not generalize and start casting doubt on their efforts immediately when they are offering the greatest sacrifice and performing heroically.

If evidence emerges that a particular incident was not 'kosher' then by all means present it and criticize, but we should support our LEA's and SF's completely and wholeheartedly in the absence of such evidence.

I am sorry, but did you miss the explosives being defused? I feel the objective of the images was not to show the dead terrorist, but the explosives he was carrying, since there was skepticism over whether the individual was a suicide bomber.

ISLAMABAD – The incident of killing a suspected suicide bomber by police in the Federal Capital on Sunday night was actually a fake police encounter and was engineered to establish good repute of cops, TheNation reliably learnt on Monday.

The police high-ups, after the incident, had claimed to save the Capital from another devastating terrorist attack.

The sources privy to the developments informed that the deceased, a suspected suicide bomber as claimed by police, had been in the custody of police for the last couple of days and was made a scapegoat only to defuse the prevailing impression that Capital Police were incapable to prevent terrorist attacks. The sources claimed that the deceased was arrested some days ago in a police raid at a house in the outskirts of the Capital during a routine search operation.

The sources also disclosed that it might be possible that the deceased was involved in some terrorist activity or was a potential suicide bomber but he was under detention of police and shot dead in a fake encounter.

The sources also informed that there was immense pressure on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Kaleem Imam, from higher authorities after the consecutive three terrorist attacks on senior Army officials in the vicinity of the Capital. It is pertinent to mention here that Brigadier Moeen was shot dead as well as two other senior Army officials namely Brigadier Waqar and Brigadier Sohail were critically injured by terrorists in three different attacks.

The news of the transfer of IGP was also heard from concerned quarters after the terrorist attack on Brigadier Sohail, as the law and order situation in the City was going from bad to worse despite installation of various police pickets and barricades.
TheNation also learnt that IGP had been remained busy in the meetings for the last two days with the other top brass of Islamabad Police to defuse the immense pressure on him. A senior police officer working under the command of IGP suggested his boss to conduct a fake encounter of some suspected suicide bomber, which was acknowledged by the latter, the sources disclosed.

The 'sharpshooter' gave the story away. Why would a sharpshooter kill the terrorist at the post... if he was threatening the police who stopped him should have pulled the trigger...

Ahhh the hidden sources...ever reliable voices of reason which whisper facts to us...i would take this news with a pinch of salt...so many policemen have stopped vehicles laden with explosives at the cost of their lives...if for once they have killed someone on the spot then why suspect them without any evidence to the contrary?
