Better have some people with camera's standing by when she arrives on May 13...! Those pics will tell us if something was done about the visible weapons and sensor fit. I'm not expecting to see much.

Can u plz tell us how many years the PN can depend on this ship? I mean how many years we can use it without any problem??

The oldest OHP remaining in service is from 1978. Consider that the oldest Knox class still in service today (with Mexico) is from 1970. It was transferred in 2002. Mexico also uses 2 ex-US Bronstein frigates, which were first commissioned in 1961 and 1963 respectively and tranferred in 1993 at age 30 and 32, much like the age at which USS McInerney became PNS Alamgir (they are 50 and 52 today).

There are example of even older ships remaining in service. Indonesia still operates 4 Claud Jones DEs which were first commissioned 1956-59 and acquired by Indonesia 1973-4 (at age 17): these are now 61-65 years old. The Philipine navy still operates a Cannon class DE from 1943, which served USN through 1955 then the JMSDF, then to Philipine navy in 1978, decommissioned in 1993 then recommissioned in 1995 and still active!

Mexico still operates a couple of ex-USN Gearings it got in 1973 (started life as USS Hurst DE-250 in 1943) and 1982 (started life as USS Steinaker DD-863 in 1945). PN operated 6 such ships before they got the Type 21s from UK... one of these is still afloat in Karachi port (visible on Google Earth)

Realistically, considering PN got UK type 21s are around age 20 and they will pay of at around age 40, I expect PNS Alamgir to be around for some 10 years as they are a bit younger and USN has tended to build to somewhat tougher standard than UK.

Another Perry For Pakistan

An American Perry class frigate is now on its way to Pakistan, after being refurbished and manned by 240 Pakistani sailors. After 30 years service in the U.S. Navy, the USS McInerney was retired, then underwent $69 million of refurbishment before entering Pakistani service. The refurb included the addition of more anti-submarine capabilities.

The Perry's are 4,100 ton ships that have a crew of 220 and are armed with a 76mm gun, six tubes for launching Mk 46 anti-submarine torpedoes, and a 20mm auto cannon as anti-missile defense. As built, the Perry's had a missile launcher for SM-1 anti-aircraft or Harpoon anti-ship missiles (from a 40 missile magazine), but these were removed from all U.S. Perrys in 2004. This was done because U.S. allies needed the dwindling supply of SM-1 missiles more than U.S. ships did.

The two SH-60 helicopters carried by the Perrys could still use their smaller Penguin anti-ship missiles.

The Perrys have air search radar and sonar, and a top speed of 55 kilometers an hour. If built today, the Perry's would cost about $300 million each. Pakistan plans to use its Perry class frigate for the anti-piracy patrol off Somalia. But the enhanced anti-submarine capabilities indicate service against Indian subs as well.

The title suggested a second OHP to PN, while is merely talked about the voyage to Pakistan of the first and only OHP to PN at present. I.e. silly journalist.
