PN Dockyards Delivers Marine Assault Boats

.
here i was thinking that Wasp class carriers is the future of pakistan marines and we got 12 ton boat.. what a joke
Use your brain guys and don’t criticize for the sake of it. These boats are meant for specific purposes I.e. patrol the creeks bordering India and they are perfect for that. You cannot send a destroyer or a frigate into such shallow waters. You should see what India uses, recreational speed boats.

i agree with you, it does serve purpose but for a force or 15 thousand that it is slated to have, 1 divisions, one would expect another front with massive amphibiue assault Wasp class which can deploy 1 brigade size force with 3 wasps. with indepdenent air wing of VSTOLs, u can open a new front to ward off pressure on eastern front

This TOT Thing has stop.
Nothing against PN, but they need to start self reliance from somewhere these smaller petrol boats & Faster Boats Pakistan must start on its and can ask Private companies to join in as well.
That will build a private sector which can supply or atleast provide them some support, and with proper management they might be able to join in international suppliers.
Pakistans dependency on china is understandable as Pakistan doesnt have expertise & money and resources to build Frigates & subs at faster pace.
But if these are designed in house it will give PN much more flexibility which can be used to build Bigger ships in future

Agree, the Marine design center has been established and a ship model basin is under construction. I think you will see local designs soon. Ship Model Basin is equivalent to a wind tunnel for ships.

What private companies? The foreign ones or the ones......scratch that we have none. So it's the foreign ones.

At least 15 of these should be inducted
The coast guard could use a few of these too.

These small boats are basic requirement for patrolling. Do not compare these boats with big battle ships and carriers.
Every asset has its specific role such as assault gun and cannon gun.

.
number is joke . 12 will be good number
That was a contract through DP PN for 14 Coastal (30 tons) and 4 Creek (12 tons) Military Assault Boats (armored against 7.62x39mm rounds). Polish Company Techno Marine (that previously supplied RHIBs to SSGN) gave lowest technically qualified bid. ToT was also the part of this tender with almost bulk of boats to be manufactured by KS&EW with help from TM Poland.

If their is no Work they wont invest in it either.
Pakistan for its Size & Location does need few.

Such a basic design and they need TOT from polish firm, they need to invite Private sector to invest in shipping industry both commercial and Military.

Iranian Revolutionary guards are known to have different variants of attack speed boats numbering 1500. No wonder all the Western and Arab world navies are scared to counter them.

I hope one day we will match the Iranians in attack speed boats.

Rather than these i would hope PN gets more MRTP-33. While they came without missiles before, with the advent of atmaca i think they can now be armed (Atmaca in place of Harpoon). Compared to the tiny range of the Iranian missiles this will give MRTP-33 a 250-300km missile with 220kg warhear which is actually capable of crippling or sinking warships. The speed and firepower would make 15 or 20 of these very potent in the littoral arena.

Pakistan Marines have received two Military Assault Boats(MABs) produced at PN Dockyard with the transfer of technology from Polish Company Techno Marine. These boats with the displacement of 12 tons will be used for patrolling duties
This would also useful for some of the provincial police (get 2-3 per province). I remember there was a debacle involving the choto gang and punjab police because they had minimal riverine capacity
Finally navy had to lend them riverine craft from what i remember because they were using boat with dingy outboard or even row boats to assault the islands in indus and many officers were killed. A few of these an some of the assualt capable RHIBs would have been Godsends.
