PMLN’s Electricity Project ‘Tarbela IV’ Flopped

. .
But in the end declared to be innocent by court ...

So while our media miss reports our system of courts and proof are also questionable ...

Lets agree to disagree as either one of us could be right or wrong ...
Zardari completed 5 years jail term. I am not saying they were innocent.

Any project started by ganja league was a failure right from the beginning because of mass corruption.

You don't understand.
Ganja league projects have been massive successes.
The problem is that you think the projects were meant to help Pakistan people.
They were not, projects were meant to allow Sharif to get more corruption money.
They did what they were supposed to, and thus are actually ganja success.

Everyone is trying to divert blame of many others to PML-N to protect the bureaucrat and
WAPDA top leadership. The Tarbela disaster is responsiblity of corrupt WAPDA. WAPDA people similarlyi naugurated Neelum Jhelum Project with Khaqan Abbasi without telling him about the technical fault.

Pakistan Govt. or Prime Minister can't do anything without the advise of WAPDA on such projects.

WAPDA has people who have no idea how to run the project and there stupid mistakes causing more damage to the taxpayers money.

Gunjas were at fault here because they had the ultimate executive authority.

Yes it makes the difference ... The problem here is you are considering our government department as a professional organization but in reality, they are mafia ...

Don't you remember the murder of the person responsible for the arrest of Dollar Girl Ayan Ali ?

Don't you remember the Gullu butt who was leading the charge of Police?

Actually, our government offices are mafia created and controlled by Sharief family in Punjab since last 3 to 4 decades and by PPP in Sindh by last 4 tp 5 decades ...

My point is simple, you can't say the prime responsibility of the crime is of the member of the mafia executing the ,crime ,, no its not ,,, prime responsibility is of the head of mafia ... Which is Sharief clan and Bhutto/Zardari clan ... This mafia is so strong that a person so strong as General Musharaf was unable to destroy these legacies ...

You must read the novel godfather to understand the mechanism how these people operate ...

My difference of opinion with you is on the basis that I consider this as a grand alliance between politicians, bureaucrats, and generals in which prime controller happened to be generals in 70s and 80s but since 90s politicians are the head of this mafia and I am not willing to accept that this mafia is not responsible for bringing these incompetent yes man in burecracy ....

First of all please don't call it PMLN project, this was a national project started by PMLN government.
Project itself is not a failure, In my opinion its a failure of spineless engineers and project director/s.
If a perfectly fine car engine seizes because some fucking asshole started it knowing that there is no lubricant in it, then its the engine starter at fault not the one who asked him to start it.

We should stop blaming politicians for every fault and hold accountable the professionals who were responsible for that project too. Unfortunately we as a nation have become so self centered that even high caliber professionals fail to do their job when it comes to pleasing the powerful rulers. Nawaz and Shahbaz may have pressurized the director project to start it earlier for political reasons but they didn't actually do it themselves. If anyone is responsible then its the project management first then the political leadership.

The government or the leader of a nation has the responsibility to guide mega projects. Mega projects require mega resources. Such projects should be regulated and monitored by the top leadership because they impact the nation. If such a project is failing a leader intervenes in a timely manner and corrects the course. PML-N leadership has shown extreme level of negligence. Worse, as Panama leaks and other scandals reveal they have been part of corruption, mismanagement and embezzlement. Such ill behavior needs to be called out just like we will call out Imran Khan if he fails to achieve the laid out objectives in mega projects.

A professional should not be able to screw an entire project without proper oversight of the concerned government authorities. There needs to checks and balances. Clearly the PML-N government failed to intervene and correct course in the case of Tarbela IV.

Ok bruh i am 100% agree with your logical statement on here.so now why they have given 5 billion as a gift? They knew pakistan is going to bankrupt. Please give me a good explanation with reliable logic.

I haven't seen the agreement, but probably it was early completion bonus per agreement terms. Probably included in the agreement for the kick backs and the agreement duration extended to make sure that project is completed before time. We all know how corrupt the NS government was, this must have been a very easy way to transfer funds out of the country and keep the whole thing as a kick back.

I don't disagree. I am sure the project was inaugurated despite the advice of professionals for political gains and should be tried for their crime, but that does not absolve the project director and engineers from their responsibility, they too should be held accountable, tried and punished so that no one in the future gives in to the wrong demands of corrupt leaders. If there are let of the hook, this practice will continue. If an example is set that professionals responsible for the project are also responsible and held accountable, then they would resist the incompetent and corrupt leaders.
