Listen carefully to the words of Nehal Hashmi, this appears to be a carefully planned and scripted attempt to create impression, in minds, that PMLN is very upset and agitated about investigations of Hussain Nawaz. Repeatedly accusing JIT members, judiciary and media and shouting full throttle against JIT or PTI all helps to plan a firm idea in public mind that JIT is doing something that is very worrisome for PM Nawaz Sharif. The fact that Nehal Hashmi said everything in an open public meeting and then it was leaked adds to suspicions.

Why to do such antics? This is playing with mass psychology at its best. PMLN has demonstrated its ability to fool the public again and again and we must congratulate them on their skills in repeatedly making a fool of public. Now they are trying to add "credibility" to JIT process through such videos, petitions against JIT members and leaked stories in newspapers.

Reality is that Sharif Dynasty needed something like JIT, to exonerate them; Sharif family needed a safe non-transparent forum because open media debate, on tv channels and social media, was hurting them politically. They needed a forum with some credibility that could examine whatever they show and declare them innocent - or that nothing conclusive was proved.

JIT, as it is working, has no transparency, nothing that is being asked or said or presented inside is coming out credibly; we don't know if its proceedings are being recorded or not; even its reporting to the Supreme Court was not fully shared with media and public; inclusion of army officers was designed to add credibility to the JIT but after the drop scene of Dawn Leaks, it was obvious that Army does not have the capacity or willingness to confront PM Nawaz Sharif and the element of Army officers had lost most of its initial promise or credibility.

So how to restore credibility to JIT?
Accusations against JIT members is the main strategy. Petitions against JIT in Supreme Court, Nehal Hashmi video, leaked stories are all various elements of this "Media Spin" or "Disinformation Strategy" and apparently its working well. PMLN social media team's job is to keep crying against a "Judicial Conspiracy" and Judicial Coup or Army dictation etc, all to add value to the belief that JIT is doing a huge grilling of Sharif Family. Reality may be totally otherwise. JIT for all practical purposes appears very week process; its not examining PM Nawaz, its not even examining Maryam Nawaz; its only focusing on Hussain Nawaz and Hassan at best; what will this JIT write or recommend? that statements of Hussain Nawaz were not fully satisfying? or could not be corroborated in given time; then what? Will we then be initiating fresh proceedings against Hussain Nawaz?

Pakistani people's worst enemy is their ignorance of the political process; we are not becoming an Indian kind of democracy; we are becoming an Arab oligarchy; we have always been hovering between civil & military oligarchs; now it appears that civilian oligarchs, have dominated military oligarchs, and will rule us like Arab monarchs, for a conceivable future. Military oligarchs are weak in imposing their will because they are guilty as per definition and come under genuine and - and truly needed - international pressure. But Civilian oligarchs can justify whatever they do under the garb of democracy. In reality, Democracy cannot function without smaller provinces, city governments, strong public institutions and genuine political parties. Cutting short: JIT appears to be weak, impotent, non-transparent and helpless - rest is a "theatre by PMLN" and supporting media. And its a good one!

Agree 100%. If the military establishment who have been entrenched in power corridors of Pakistan couldnt do a jack in enforcing the military act against those who were responsible for Dawnleaks, the Judicary, who is a relative newbie in finding their own space, after Judicial activism of Iftekhar Chaudary, the JIT will fizzle out as well.

We are heading towards a totalitarian regime in Pakistan and Nihal Hashmi outburst is a preview of what is to come, which is turn will lead to complete chaos.

If Justice prevails this time; one of the $harifs will be most probably hanged!

No surprise - future is predicted and planned based on established facts and figures of the past.

It would be a miracle if $harifs or his cronies taste actual accountability.

Each case has two probabilities; win or lose. Most members in this forum believe that now JIT will help SC to convict Nawaz and most probably disqualify him.

Suppose, Nawaz $harif is not convicted in this Panama case, his family will be invincible for at least 20-30 years - will rule with iron fist.
