The Brahmaputra has its origin in Tibet and meanders through China, forgot its Chinese name, before it enters Arunachal, then Assam and then into bangladesh. If China erects dams they can control the flow of Brahmaputra or completely block it. Doing either will affect the northeastern region.

India may build many dams in NE but it won't work if there is no river in the first place. As for SCS, I think you meant south china sea, that is a good move but India cannot enforce a blocade on SCS like the chinese can on Brahmaputra.

The name you're looking for is Yarkung Zangbo, we can dams all along this river until nothing left for India. Not only that we can cut Subabsiri and those rivers that pass Bhutan if we want too since Bhutan is not our "diplomatic" friend but we will not do anything to harm Nepal knowing the that rivers such Kosi sourcing from China then merge into Ganges. If we don't care about Nepal we can piss over 400 millions of Indians that use the sacre river GANGES by divert it so Ganges will receive less water and those Indians will not only swim on the poluted Ganges river but on muddy river as well.

Now in the totally worst case scenario, it takes Billions of $ and 6-7 years to build a dam, All it needs is a 1 million $ brahmos to demolish it and release the water.

And create a massive flood which kills thousands of your people. Even if 40% of the flow comes from China, that's enough to dry the river up in certain places. It'll completely reroute it.

And who said anything about damming? It can be diverted all around Tibet.

Brahmaputra may have its Origins in Tibet, but it has a thousand Tributaries in India which flow into it to make it a Mighty Perennial river.

Only a Moron thinks that all the water in a river comes from the origin.

Even the tallest dam will OVERFLOW when you try to block a Huge River There is only SO much water you can block.

At WORST, China can only REGULATE the flow of the river that flows in Tibet, not block it or control it.

Brahmaputra does not come as a "thousand tributaries" all the way from China and merge into one huge river in India by magic. But I am discussing these issues with a guy who does not even know what a tributary is.

there is call natural fluctuation and man made fluctuation...which one is more scary?...and we dont need to do much to causing harm to our GDP, just divert the economy way that no water will flow to India

How does it matter if the fluctuation is man made of natural ? ........... no one really knows why it happens. You cannot predict nature and no one really "worries" about it.
