PM visits world's largest mining truck manufacturer in Belarus

Some people are just pure authentic arseholes and feel the need to comment even if it does not make any sense.

For some reason, people like you hate the fact that he is actually doing something!!!

Why don't you complain about your other rulers for the past 70 years, who didn't care to use any expensive OR cheaper option at all....? Who didn't really do ANYTHING for common Pakistani!!!!

I'd take a more expensive approach over a NO approach for 7 decades ALL day long and TWICE on Sundays!!!

Sorry dude, I realized it later. But even then, I don't think using such a term was necessary. If you and I act the same way compared to people we are trying to help and bring sense to, we won't be successful as we brought ourselves to that low of level

Well this would be really something to see in Pakistan...these monster trucks truly are awe inspiring.

Such trucks are useful only in large-scale mining operations of bulk ore. Is there any mine of such size existing, or even planned, in Pakistan that requires such monsters?

No worries. I find it very frustrating to read the idiotic comments from so many posters just because of political bias with total disregard to national interests.

Sorry, I realized that later. Post updated above.

Pakistan desperately needs these trucks and other heavy mechanical equipment. If you remember that eart quake some years ago, it was surprising to see the lack of heavy mechanical equipment inside Pakistan. A lot more people died because there was little to no heavy mechanical equipment available to clear the debres and haul them away. The U.S. had dispatched Marine core boys and mechanical support teams in Chinooks with mid level mechanical equipment.

As the economy grows, Pakistani government is planning on expanding its mining activities significantly, there will be Coal and other mineral mines opening up, refineries, storage and distribution centers already planned across the country around major highways, which then connect through the CPEC highway to Gawader.

So these trucks and other heavy mechanical equipment would be much, much needed to support those exploration and mining activities, and to support large construction projects too, where you build bridges and all. Such equipment would speed up existing projects too as heavy construction material would get mobilized very quickly and in much larger quantities than possible right now.

One of the key reasons Pakistan can't explore its hidden treasures inside the Earth all the way, is because of lacking heavier mechanical equipment. So a very good step in the right direction. These guys in the current government are trying to fix so many things at one time that's it's hard to believe. It's almost like as if Pakistan was just created and all the most basic things are being put in now. Sadly, it's happening after like 70 years!!!

Yup, totally agreed. I find it so strange that people belonging to a country and a nation don't keep their national interests sacred, and make their own country and people doing the work look bad!!

Sir, what is your basis for saying that? These trucks are needed for the sort of large-scale mining operations that do not exist in Pakistan, and are not likely to exist for quite some time yet.

In the past 68 years, PML did serve 8 years collectively so far, with Punjab being governed for some 12-15 years since 1985, so 12-15 years in the past 30 years.

Yeah they didn't have always full terms (except Punjab), they did screw up occasionally nonetheless.

You clearly didn't read my post with all the details....otherwise, your question wasn't needed as I provided multiple use cases for these trucks.

Second, these are not just "mining" trucks. They are used for many things, including construction support. The CPEC highway system is going to require billions of tons of concrete, iron frames, sand, etc, etc. and majority of the real work is going to get done on elevated terrain in Baluchistan and the KPK. When that phase Starr's, your current trucks won't be able to climb on inclined surfaces with tons of heavy weight on them, these trucks will and that's their purpose to explain one case. Another one is, when you have Coal power plants running and burning billions of ton of coal, who would take that much size out of the mines and would deliver to the distribution centers for country wide distribution??? These trucks would help fasten the mining process by carrying large loads in uneasy terrain, and will deliver to a truck or a railroad hub, which would then supply it to where the stuff is needed. Another use case is when you build stuff inside or around large, deeper rivers (majority of KPK and Baluchistan has natural uneven passages), so your traditional trucks won't work. These trucks can go inside deep water and pour concrete and sand in, creating surface for future construction on top ( similar to what China is doing with its sand pouring in the ocean to push the water away, resulting in creating an artificial island on top). Pakistan will instead be creating highways, bridges, dams and all. These trucks can speed up a 24*7 project building a water dam. Ten of these trucks can move stuff probably ten times more weight, and ten times more quickly and than the one or two container semi trucks you have in Pakistan.

Yeah, I wish I had one....I would have stomped over the damn traffic jam everyday!! :D

If someone is making progress and helping hundreds of millions of their poor citizens in some regards, it's perfectly fine to make mistakes and screw up. Everyone is a human and people do make mistakes. You think India got to where it is today without corruption, favoritism or mistakes??? There is plenty of everything in India, even today!! But how many Indians you see bashing their system? Rarely. Because they know, even with mistakes and issues, the elected people will do good things to remain powerful in the system. Or people won't give them a vote and the system will reject them for good (like Zardari).
