These trucks would help fasten the mining process by carrying large loads in uneasy terrain, and will deliver to a truck or a railroad hub, which would then supply it to where the stuff is needed. Another use case is when you build stuff inside or around large, deeper rivers (majority of KPK and Baluchistan has natural uneven passages), so your traditional trucks won't work. These trucks can go inside deep water and pour concrete and sand in, creating surface for future construction on top ( similar to what China is doing with its sand pouring in the ocean to push the water away, resulting in creating an artificial island on top). Pakistan will instead be creating highways, bridges, dams and all. These trucks can speed up a 24*7 project building a water dam. Ten of these trucks can move stuff probably ten times more weight, and ten times more quickly and than the one or two container semi trucks you have in Pakistan.

I did read your first post, and this one too. These trucks are not go anywhere machines, and they need specially compacted and graded roads to work on in a carefully controlled environment, not "inside deep water", or on "uneasy terrain", and not for long distance transport given their limited speed and maneuverability. Concrete is handled by its own specialized trucks, not by such bulk carriers, which are for specialized for removing overburden and bulk ores. What coal fired plants are using "billions of tons of coal" and where is that coal coming from? Creating highways, bridges and dams is easier and better served by proper sized dump trucks and graders, not such mega monsters.

Dude, you have these, as these are made in India and there were strict policies around using make in India stuff. These truck are called inter-mediate. trucks, you have 12, 14 16 and 18 (Semi) wheeler trucks. 18 wheelers are the ones who haul freights like Containers, Flat bed or Reefers (google these terms with the word SEMI to see it). But then, during building dams, coal mining and local transportation of LARGE loads of minerals, debres and all, you need heavier trucks. The truck above, can't go near incline. The trucks in question don't care about the terrain, they get to places, with or without a track or roads. I know freight services very well and associated application for mechanical engineering projects.

Yes, that would be ONE of many purposes . By the way, this company builds it much cheaper than others. Caterpillar (a US company), would charge you a lot more for these things.

I would like to see if NS can do an agreement with some TOT and manufacturing in Pakistan. The construction work is JUST starting. These trucks will be needed a lot and can actually start a new industry in Pakistan if they are made or even initially assembled in Pakistan. The next 30-40 years, its going to be a construction boom in Pakistan so if the company can agree to it (usually they don't as they have monopoly in a certain market), it would save Pakistan money.

But irrespective of it, a VERY good move. More heavier mechanical equipment is procured, the faster these massive projects can be completed. Automation and use of technology to get things done is today's standard so this is all to bring Pakistan next to the world standards.

I've YET to use the word "Dump Truck"........AGAIN, you looked at my post, saw the links and didn't care to read those links and responded in a trigger happy manner.
Dump Trucks are different. These are heavy mechanized trucks able to take 400 ton of heavy stuff like concrete, coal, cement, debris, etc, etc, in uneven, included and mountainous regions. But general public, just like you and a few others who don't know the proper usage of this thing, call them Dump Trucks, or "why do we need them" and all that.

And hauling 400 tons these monsters guzzle such amount of fuel .n which mine suggested trucks haul 900 tons of loads without breaking a sweat.
