Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday inaugurated the country's fifth nuclear power plant C-4 at Chashma, Mianwali area, reported DawnNews.

The C-4 plant is capable of generating 340MW electricity.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, PM Abbasi said that the project would help the country's energy problem.

The Chashma nuclear power projects units, C-1, C-2 and C-3 have already been successfully contributing to the national grid, he said, adding that two large nuclear power plants, K-2 and K-3, were also under construction that he hoped would be operational soon.

Abbasi said that the nuclear plants produce economical electricity; more power generation projects would be launched in Chashma and Muzaffarabad areas, he added.

The prime minister thanked the government of China for its cooperation and said that the projects could not have been completed without the support of Chinese people and the government.

. . . .
If a financial close for any project was attained in certain tenure, then that tenure should get credit. In this case all these projects were funded by CPEC which was signed in 2014-2015 thus the notion of Thank you PMLN! It is similar to if someone wishes to become a billionaire but the other person works hard and become one; the later should get the due credit.

.
would you thank PPPP next time if they won election fro k 3& K2 , if not than this is hypocrisy
nawaz has no credit for chashma plants, credit goes to mushi and some what to pppp
I have many objection what mushi did . But cant take credit of many good things he did , and this Chasma is one of them.

They say that all these projects were initiated on paper after 9/11 deal with USA with expectations of USA and NATO countries investing heavily to improve the economy of Pakistan. But later on USA didn't fulfill their promise. I won't get into what they did in lieu of investments to quiet everyone.

we are lucky its closed, its better than spending 30-40 billion rupees in corruption every year there. our chief justice was given billions to nullify the privatization so he can has his share of plots in UAE
do you know steel mills require more people so it hire people on contract EVEN THOUGH ITS CLOSED!!! does that make sense????

Employees are still being paid. And are accumulating pensions due to being "employed". Along with benefits.

The Chief Justice is now cutting boarding lines to get on airplanes. And enjoying Dubai & London.

Congrats. Waiting for bigger nuclear power plants
