PM Imran telephones UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed

ABU DHABI: Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, received a phone call from Prime Minister Imran Khan, who exchanged views on enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

According to the official Twitter account of the Crown Prince:

"Mohamed bin Zayed receives a phone call from the Pakistan Prime Minister, discussing ways to enhance bilateral cooperation as well as the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest."

As per the tweet, matters of mutual interest and latest regional and international issues were also discussed between the two.

PM Imran's telephone call has come in line with his recent efforts to approach various head of states in order to discuss the aggravating situation in Indian-held Kashmir.

It was only recently that the premier briefed French President Emmanuel Macron and King Abdullah II of Jordan about Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.

He also spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman over the phone late on Monday and discussed the latest situation in the Occupied Valley.

UAE remains one of the largest country from where we receive billions of remittances and in trade.

UAE is a powerful country in the region and in terms of their diplomatic out reach they are more powerful than Saudi Arabia.

sometimes you have to remind the concerned party what your own value is. its a part of maintaining leverage over the narrative. I think this will work if Pakistan indeed has any leverage left over these middle eastern states. When these states were in their infancy, they used Pakistan to get established but now the descendents of these founding rulers seem to have forgotten that. Doing these kind of calls will show our leadership (hopefully once and for all) the value of Pakistan and its needs to these middle eastern countries. I hope we learn the lesson to consider them opposers if they dont stand up to our expectations.

No one cares whoever trades with India its the stupid award to that hindoo fascist Modi by UAE Emir that generated outrage. UAE has been ignored before for making Swaraj chief guest in OIC meeting. UAE Ambassador givign statement on eve of 370 revocation was another backstab something indians will note in their historybooks. UAE gestures have been abrasive and counter to Pakistan's interests.
