PM Imran Khan Talks to Senior Journalists | Rauf Klasra | Mohammad Malick | Irshad Bhatti

Someone was telling me that Mr. PM neglected the reports to prove this civilian supremacy.
This is what civilian supremacy is. So what if he is wrong. Don't shove military this and that down our throats when it is convenient for you.

Not sure if you watched the entire conference, but the measures laid out and articulated in a very transparent manner. Also it seems measures taken at the airport and in public are at par or better than some of the leading nations in the world. For some odd reason we have learned this habit of complaining all the times. Just a little bit of rational thinking and distance from religious and political biases can probably will help understand a lot of the issues ,we discuss, better.
My two cents

I did watch the entire conference. The economic stimulus package is relatively clear and a fantastic step.

This is not a "strange habit" --- it is government negligence that has brought Pakistan to where it is, which is at the bottom of several important socioeconomic indicators. I voted for PTI, so I have every right to criticize their (thus far) horrible performance. And I'm not referring to things that people want to be fixed overnight through a magic wand --- obviously that can't happen --- but obvious, in your face, poor government choices (from bad appointees in his own cabinet to a highly conservative and defensive response to any situation.)

BTW, I don't buy the Western model of following their narrative/definition of progress blindly either --- but I do want leaders who are not afraid of making aggressive, tough decisions.

Sure!
But here lies the contradiction in itself you are looking for socio economic indicator, which would just appear out of nowhere. It does take time for that. I agree that not all the steps are good but there is definite difference in terms of what Nawaz or Bhutto et al present and what this government does given the current situation
