PM Imran Khan Addressing Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh.

Excellent job by PM IK for exposing the corruption of these bastards at the international level so that the world knows and can recognise their ugly faces and thus think twice before supporting them or providing them refuge. This issue was never a domestic problem, these corrupt people own properties through the laundered money in foreign lands, they store their assets and wealth in foreign banks so for WTF should we be hiding it and saving their asses?

.
That's actually perfect time to extort them if IK knows how to do it.
We are not in that position and if KSA put pressure on us to convince Turkey not to go berserk against KSA then it would on cost of our Turkish relations in a long term.

He seems so lost and useless :( what the hell man - where is his previous charm, positive arrogance, ideas, or big talk :hitwall: how the hell are they going to attract investors with such dead talk!? And I can't believe I'm saying this about IK - but he actually seems to struggle to articulate his thoughts in English :hitwall:

This guy is not talking to the point. Like, when the woman asks that how his Government is going to reduce the energy dependency, as in policies for that, and thus really invite foreign companies to invest. Instead of going on to point, he goes on to talk about Terrorism, Incompetence, War on Terror. Like, I don't get it, okay fine, no one cares about that, they want to know what you're changing which would actually compel them to invest.

Mate, this is not propaganda. I wish him all the success in China, but if he keeps up this performance, he is doing a disservice to the country.
thing is media is against him from day 1. It took 9 month for shahbaz sharif first news against him but imran khan we have from day 1. Now if we think this visit of imran khan is to impress investors on a stage it wouldn't happened. This visit is to impress saudia that we are with you and he already mentioned about investment from saudia. You cant be prepared for unplanned questions yet he tried to answer mentioning cpec and china market one of the biggest.market, tourismt, gold, gas, oil, mentioned exxon mobil investment currently and causes why pakistan is at this stage and not having investments from last 10 years or so no parchi no humiliation what more media wants? Oh haan increase anchor salaries.may be.

Investors are attracted when they the see govt is honest, open and committed to rooting out the corruption from the society and every serious investor can easily see the seriousness on his face, in his voice and body language..

This Q&A program was better than the stupidity he committed by giving interview he gave to a rapistani reporter Kim Sengupta of brit-based muslim-phobe The independent. Now that 'desperate for loans' interview its all spread on the indian dailies and other western media.

Thus far he has failed on controlling the team under him like his doofus Finance Minister and corrupt bureaucracy. Pakistanis are wishing and hoping somehow he can avert IMF, its his real test.
yeah that is great " loan lei koiye, test dei koiye"

Rofl a lot better Pakistani speakers have gone to Davos and Pakistan still has been treated like a pariah state in western media and countries. Don't think speeches can bring investors.

On this trip the only thing that matters is attendance.

Its the investors meeting with the Pakistan team that'll matter most. With some help from Saudi crown prince who is also organizing to bring some delegation to Pakistan.

Tbh Overseas Pakistanis are themselves the biggest impediment for investment in Pakistan. Western media and their employed rapistanis have been ably supporting them to keep a pathetic image of Pakistan. For example, the recent 'desperate for loans' interview report made by a rapistani and spread thru indian media and our PML-N social media based in UK and Saudi. Investor confidence is made in the media, overseas ch***** need to look in the mirror.

agar kuch nahi kar sakta
to ghar bethay why did he become PM. What different has he done from PML-N against which he contested and got voted for? Where is the overseas Pakistani sending dollars, where is the bond program. ISs ko pata tha economic situation ka and he gave the solutions in interviews pre-election. Why can't he implement that?

What is very much evident is that his team hasn't come up with a concrete investment plan to invite international investors so that commercial and trade activity can increase. And now this has become apparent on an international forum. This thread is to have a discussion on this, and to ensure that he is better prepared in the future. Remember, IK is almost the last hope at this point.

Every single engagement contributes to the overall image. Especially when the engagement involves the Prime Minister himself. It is all about the optics, and in this case we haven't projected the right image.

I agree, mere advertisement will not solve all problems. But bad advertisement will also cause hindrance.

Better to be honest about Pakistans situation than put up a front. People can see through that.

Well, the conference had a certain topic. Why not remain on the topic at hand, which was to highlight investment opportunities in Pakistan. It all depends on how you present it. I am not encouraging a deceptive narrative. I am merely suggesting that the topic at hand was not given due consideration.

@The Eagle @waz

Can you merge this thread with an already posted thread regarding same content
https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/pm-i...uture-investment-initiative-in-riyadh.582986/

Or is there a loophole in the rules where a person can give his opinions on a similar content already posted and be considered as a new content thread?

I am not utilizing a 'loophole' here. I am genuinely worried about the lack of concrete planning, and this Q&A session has simply brought it to the front.

People should watch the video. The person who wrote the article was paid a lifafa by those who used to read off scripts they held in their hands.

He sounded casual, he was casual, because he is aware of the issues intimately and is able to speak about this in length without a script.

He talked about potential, he talked about talent, he talked about unfulfilled potential. He did talk about negative things, he talked about his plans to address them - because that's what is keeping people from investing.
