  1. Our tribal areas were devastated & millions of ppl uprooted from their homes. The war drastically impacted lives of ordinary Pakistanis.
  2. Pak continues to provide free lines of ground & air communications(GLOCs/ALOCs).Can Mr Trumpname another ally that gave such sacrifices?

“Instead of making Pakistan a scapegoat for their failures, the US should do a serious assessment of why, despite 140000 NATO troops plus 250,000 Afghan troops & reportedly $1 trillion spent on war in Afghanistan, the Taliban today are stronger than before,” the prime minister further said.

US President Donald Trump while speaking to Fox news' Chris Wallace on Sunday had alleged that Pakistan does “not do a damn thing” for the US and accused it of helping Osama bin Laden hide in the country.

"You know, living – think of this – living in Pakistan, beautifully in Pakistan in what I guess they considered a nice mansion, I don’t know, I’ve seen nicer," Trump said, referring to bin Laden and his former compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The compound was demolished shortly after United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group forces killed bin Laden there in a late-night helicopter raid in 2011.

"But living in Pakistan right next to the military academy, everybody in Pakistan knew he was there," he added. "And we give Pakistan $1.3 billion a year . ... [bin Laden] lived in Pakistan, we’re supporting Pakistan, we’re giving them $1.3 billion a year -- which we don’t give them anymore, by the way. I ended it because they don’t do anything for us, they don’t do a damn thing for us," the US president said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday 'set the record straight' on United States President Donald Trump's "tirade" against Pakistan, asking whether the American head of state could "name another ally that gave such sacrifices".

While speaking to Fox News on Sunday, Trump attempted to justify his administration's decision at the start of 2018 to pull "military aid" to Pakistan by linking it to Osama bin Laden being found in Pakistan in 2011.

"They [Pakistan] don’t do a damn thing for us," the US president had said.

PM Khan clapped back at Trump's statements, saying that Islamabad had decided to "participate in the US War on Terror" although no Pakistani was involved in the 9/11 attacks.

"Pakistan suffered 75,000 casualties in this war and over $123 billion was lost," he added, of which "US 'aid' was a miniscule $20bn", the premier said.

In addition to economic losses, the PM highlighted the impact of the US war on Pakistan's tribal areas. "Our tribal areas were devastated and millions of people were uprooted from their homes. The war drastically impacted the lives of ordinary Pakistanis," he said.

"Pakistan continues to provide free lines of ground and air communications (GLOCs/ALOCs)," he added.

"Can Mr Trump name another ally that gave such sacrifices?" he asked.

Diplomacy is not conducted on twitter. The best way to deal with Trump is to ignore him.

IK shut entire Indian Govt down through befitting twitter response, when he labeled Modi as a man with limited vision so lets see what Trump administration gonna reply on this.

No one is being diplomatic with that man child!

He needs to be shown he isnt alone on Twitter and that his BS will be called out like it is in his country!

2ndly what I would like Pak to do is stop ALL support and let Trump and US see what we have been doing behind the curtains support! I would like to see Americans WITHOUT PAKISTANI support!

If this response was calibrated after consulting the Foreign Office and G.H.Q, I am all for it. Otherwise as I said diplomacy particularly with the U.S. cannot be conducted on twitter. No point picking a fight with a person who might be facing impeachment in the coming months and who will be looking for foreign enemies to deflect attention.

The U.S. is not India. It is the only country in the world with the ability to hurt Pakistan in very real terms. This is just the reality whether we like it or not.

I would like to see the lines closed for US and nato. Talk money

I like this proactive aggressive foreign relations approach. The most I'm glad about is that we didn't give the usual response of we have given sacrifices and US should respect us.
This statement mentions those people who laid down their lives for our country, but also strikes back and tells them that they are the ones who lost this war.

Well done to PMIK, everything else is debatable but the foreign policy of this new government is up to the mark.
